Unsuspecting Innocents, Walk With Me Down a Dark, Deadend Freudian Highway

Homeboy: Sigmund Freud 'Hood: Vienna, Austria Claim to fame: father of psychoanalysis. Below you will find some of Freud's quotes, decide if one or more fits then talk about it. No analyzing here, just fun.

1. Being entirely honest with oneself is a good exercise.

2. Anatomy is destiny.

3. Love and work are the cornerstones of our humanness.

4. Time spent with a cat is never wasted.

5. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

6. The great question that has never been answered and which I have not yet been able to answer despite 30 years of research into the feminine soul is, "What does a woman want?"

"I worked with Freud in Vienna. We broke over the concept of penis envy. He thought it should be limited to women." - Woody Allen in Zelig

1. Being entirely honest with oneself is a good exercise. At least you would be able to see the liar in yourself

2. Anatomy is destiny. Say that to Danny La Rue

3. Love and work are the cornerstones of our humanness. A secretary's tale

4. Time spent with a cat is never wasted. It could be if the cat was a tiger

5. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. See Jimbits

6. The great question that has never been answered and which I have not yet been able to answer despite 30 years of research into the feminine soul is, "What does a woman want?" Proof that analysis can drive you insane.

They all seem a little vaguely worded to me Faith. None of them 'resonate' with me except for No5 which I take to mean as 'don't over complicate or over analyse, life's bizarre enough already'.

I assume he was a cat lover too, figuratively speaking.

Faith, I believe in honesty in all my interactions with others and myself. It's a good spiritual principle and one I use to guide my life. All you have in life is your word and it must be backed with integrity and honesty!!!

1. Being entirely honest with oneself is a good exercise.

Spiritual and intellectual masterbation.

2. Anatomy is destiny.

Nothing is prewritten. All actions are spontaneous

3. Love and work are the cornerstones of our humanness.
Pain is the cornerstone. Fear of loneliness and pain is what drives everybody.

4. Time spent with a cat is never wasted.
People fanatical about cats are usually those whom would associate with the animals themselves, even applying anthromorphism to such creatures. How many cats are called Mr ******? That is troubling.

5. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
Unless it's a penis.

6. The great question that has never been answered and which I have not yet been able to answer despite 30 years of research into the feminine soul is, "What does a woman want?"
What does anybody want? Again mental self stimulus and masterbation!

Wow... you guys are too deep for me....

I will say this though... I disagree with number two... that everything is spontanious. I believe that humans have... maybe not a pre-destined outcome or achievement, but at least a general "force" or guide through their lives that channel their actions, emotions, and existance.

Ok, that's as philosophical as I can get.... I'm going back to playing with my hot wheels....

I hope I don't sound overly analytical when I say to you, "True that, bro!"
