Icon19 Tudor Black Bay 54 Strap Options

Hey,

Looking to purchase a 'Rubber B/Everest' type rubber strap for the '54. Does anyone have any suggestions for 3rd party strap options please?

Cheers.

I am not sure there are many options right now for the 54 (if you wanted the curved end link look) I was told by Westfields White City that the Official rubber straps might release in July so worth asking them.

I was thinking about snagging an Erika’s Original for mine.

The official rubber bracelet from Tudor seems like it would be the right move, although I personally can’t imagine putting a modern looking rubber bracelet with curved ends on the 54. That vintage-looking watch is screaming for a rubber Tropic.

I agree with this post. Bracelet all the way with me with this watch. But a tropic would be nice.

If I were to buy this watch, I'd probably start with trying to procure a Ranger leather/rubber "hybrid" (which seems closest Tudor comes to a tropic strap). Or perhaps the fabric strap from the BB Pro? The tanish line down the middle goes nicely w/the gilt dial.

I bought one of hers, and could not make it small enough, for my wrist, so beware.

I don't know, the BB 54 is the most retro-correct watch to come out of Tudor/Rolex, so using any type of modern strap with curved ends and/or a deployant clasp is odd to me. A Tropic strap is really the Tudor/Rolex strap that was available for decades as an option on sport models.

I could see the fabric BB Pro strap, but I'd probably rather just have an Erika's Original.

Get you on the deployant buckle, but the strap I'm talking about does not have curved ends:

Don't disagree with your point, however. I will add that, whatever route I went, I'd want to find an original Tudor buckle.

Ah, bummer- I got a 6.5” version for a little Seiko I have and it fit me perfectly. I measured my wrist before ordering and it came perfectly. I wonder if you were shipped the wrong strap.

I never even thought of that. My wrist is about 6 1/2 inches. I don’t remember anything about what size I ordered. It was awhile ago.

Yeah, that's why I said "and/or". If it came down to a Tropic with a plain buckle vs. a Tudor strap with curved ends or a deployant, I'd choose the Tropic. If not that, I'd go with a Hirsch Pure plain rubber strap.
