Annoyed with myself

No idea how I managed to scratch the bracelet on my 116500ln.it. It was definitely not there when I wore it yesterday. I don't recall banging or scratching it against anything. Usually, I'm very cautious.

Nice scar, it happens. I think you have to get used to it. The first one hurts the most, enjoy and wear it in good health!

It happens, it's a watch and it's meant to be worn.

Doesn’t look all that bad tbh. Sure the first one hurts but it’s inevitable if you were it frequently is such a watch should be

Stop wearing the watch immediately. Place in a cool dark space.

Should have seen my 16600 SD after 5 long years working underwater as a working tool think some of today's Rolex owners would have a heart attack.

Annoyed with myself

I wish this was the kinda thing that I had time to worry about.

Reminds me of the time I spilled a drop of coffee on a nice pair of pants.

Awful, just awful.

When I am doing something dumb and I scratch my watch I get annoyed with myself. Such as when after 3 glasses of wine I decided to attempt a bracelet swap and scratched the tops of the lugs on my beautiful Datejust 41.

But when I wear a watch and it has scratches that appear mysteriously from normal life I am ok with that.

That’s not a scratch. This is a scratch

Moral of the story is it could always be worse

Appreciate the feedbacks folks, I've had it for around 2 months and worn it every single day.

I think my daughter may have done it with her fingers. I was putting her to sleep in my arms and she noticed the lume in the dark and appeared to be playing with ithe watch, and didn't think much of it.

Oh well, I guess she's going to inherit a watch with many more scars to come.

That’s what I was going to say….. as someone who has 100 watches, I always have a tin of Cape Cod Cloths, on hand.

If you're really that worried, put it back in the safe.

However that's just normal wear. Take a look at Jocke's threads some time... you'll see some real use.

Wear it.. you scratch it. Don’t wear..don’t scratch it. Choices. Choices. Choices.

Wear and tear. All part of the ownership experience. If it bugs you there are a number of ways of addressing it. My favourite is to ignore it and on general principles, stay away from loupes.

I neither baby mine nor abuse them. I have an ugly whack on one of the lugs of my BLRO. Don't know how it happened. I couldn't stop looking at it, now I ignore it. It's like it went away.

Heck. If you wear it it will scratch. That’s nothing. Breath in and move on. My bet is you’ll do worse than that with PCL’s.
