The lighting game — GMTIIC
The funny thing about the GMTIIC is how it responds in different lights. I find that I tend not to appreciate the moments when it is fully lighted: the gloss on the dial looks excessive (and distorted) and I don’t like how the gold plots around the markers twinkle. In contrast, when it’s out of direct light, and the crystal becomes transparent and there’s less reflection, the watch looks much more attractive.
Here are two photos I took this afternoon that really demonstrate the difference. Same place, same time; one on direct sun, the other shaded by my body: I think the 1675 is actually far prettier in any light: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Here you go, Eddie. Oddly enough, I think the 1675 has the edge. I’m not convinced by Chromalite, but the colour’s cool. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks! I am out in the prairies — Lethbridge, ‘Berta. I’ve been here nearly 20 years now! Time flies! I didn’t realise you were up here too! Are you in the GTA or Van (most people are in one or the other )?! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I'm outside of Toronto near Waterloo if you're familiar at all. Traveled and lived elsewhere, but this is where I grew up, where my people are, it's home. Sent from my SM-G960W using Tapatalk |

You managed to escape Lethbridge! That’s impressive It’s a funny place, people come and don’t often leave. Why on earth did you come out here? Yup! I’ve been many times through that neck o’ th’ woods when I drove trucks. H&R had a yard in Mississauga, so we were routed through Detroit (and up through Waterloo) regularly. I always thought it quite civilised out there — though I’m not sure if that’s what it’s like to live there)! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
