How to find a geniune 16610LN bezel insert
Hello,
I have a pretty worn black insert that I'm looking to replace myself for a new one. I know RSC will be able to replace it, but I'm hoping to do it myself and save couple bucks. If anyone could direct me to a reliable marketplace/seller, I'd appreciate it! |

The RSC route will likely be your cheapest option, especially if you pop the old insert out first and sell it after the new one is installed.

I got it as estimate from local watchmaking repair store (authorized by Rolex). They quoted 950 for full service, 300 for crystal replacement, 350 for insert replacement, and 150 for case and bracelet polishing. That's good to know its only 75 but I couldn't find any inserts available at that price.

$350 sounds more like the price of the green insert (16610LV).

So, just a quick rundown of all the service items they quoted for my 16610LN.
I'm not sure I'm allowed to say the name of the repair shop, but its located in Fairfield NJ and they are authorized watch repair shop for Rolex. Full service: $950 Option 1 - Insert (Black): $350 Option 2 - Crystal: $300 Option 3 - Polishing bracelet/case : $150 Would it be just better to go to official rolex AD and get it sent to Rolex? I just kind of assumed all the prices are going to be insane for luxury pieces like Rolex. I was really hoping insert prices would be minimum 200 for me to purchase so I can replacement it myself. |

1. Inserts at RSC are as several have said..... under a hundred bucks 2. Crystals are half that, typically, but what is wrong with yours? 3. A Service is about 850 for a Sub and refinishing the case and bracelet are included (free) Send it to an RSC yourself, or use the AD. This shop is possibly not an "Rolex Authorized Repair Shop", but rather just a job shop with a Rolex Parts account - very different animals.

Thank you everyone for reply and pm; I'll take it to a local AD and get my watch serviced.
