I may be wrong but I don't like the crown, the bezel font looks wrong and the dial printing spacing.

OK, I have been eyeing a sub @ my local AD and was wondering what that was... Is it easy to remove and why do they put it on there?

I am going with fake, because the finish of the steel seems a bit rough, especially the bezel "knotches", and the brush/polising marks on the bracelet don't look fine enough....but I am a newbie too.

I'm gonna go with authentic but I almost hope I'm wrong because I surely would love to learn something.

That black sticker is the magnetic price indicator used on the Wal-Mart watches, so they can run-em thru the register quickly.

...that case and bezel look like...

...NEVER seen one with a finish that looks that bad.

Ok, I may be seing things now, but the swiss made writing location in correspondence with the second markers on both of the gen pics is completely different.... What is up there?

Anyway, I also noticed the font on the 4 in 40 is also different between the 2 gen pics i've posted............. Um, hmmmmm

Were there different model GVs?

Also checked the Rolex site. Exactly the same dial. There must be at least two different (authentic) dials made. I stand by my decision. I think it's authentic.

authentic. The polished sides of the case look rough because the protective plastic is still on the case(you can see the tab hanging down from the bottom of the case). Rolex has changed the four on the bezel "40" from a squared off 4 and pointed 4 as well as different markings of "swiss made". My LV has the "5 ticks" swiss made markings and an oval "O" in ROLEX. So- many different versions all authentic.

I thought the number "4" on the bezel is always printed the same way. That was one of the quickest ways, I thought, to detect a fake. I'm glad to know that there is some variance there.

The one on the Rolex site doesn't have the Rolex, Rolex on the Rehaut. They must have changed font and dial print on later models . Still think its real.
