Advise regarding ROO Rubberclads
I guess we never forget our first love, and the original rubberclads are the pieces that made me fall in love with AP during my early teenage years.
Lately, been thinking about finally buying a steel one (either silver or black dial). While I’m not overly concerned about the maintenance of the movement (the caliber with the JLC module is reliable), I’d like your experience on maintenance related to the following: - I know that at some stage I’ll have to change the bezel/strap because of aging (for the strap) and dents on the rubber bezel. Who’s done this, how long did it take, did AP handle it, and what was the cost. - Besides the date window matching the dial colors on the latest serial, any other tips or pointers regarding which reference deserves more attention (I don’t care too much about the date window color, but I might have missed some info making a series more desirable than the other). Looking forward to reading your thoughts on the above . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
