New ref Air King or Tudor BB 58?
I'm shopping for a new daily driver. I'm quite active and my new watch will be worn often.
I stopped into my local AD and got on the list for a new ref 126900 Air King and while there I grew fond of the Black Bay 58 - in black. Two very different watches? Are they really? While I wait on the list for the AK, I can go back and bring the BB home tomorrow. I can be a bit of an impulse buyer at times, but I came home to think it over. Thought I'd get some opinions here as well. |

Buy the BB58 and depending on the budget, keept it or sell it, and buy the Airking when it gets available.

Stick to the Airking.
All that glit on the BB58 made me grew sick of it quite quickly. Sent from my SM-G990E using Tapatalk |

Two dissimilar watches. If you really like them both perhaps in time you can own both and enjoy the variety?

Go for the AK. Shouldn’t take too long to get it and it’s an awesome watch

Two very different watches. I own the AirKing, and 3 different Tudors.
If the budget allows, get both. |

I don’t think they are that different. Just a timing bezel. I’d get the BB58.

I'm really taken by the new Air King - to my surprise. It's not my normal thing. But it's got a little something-something about it. Get the AK. I really like the BB series - but I'm always held back on the 58s when I see them in person. No clue why. I'm currently interested in the BB54.
The Air King looks awesome and would be a Rolex that I'd happily turn into a Strap Monster. |

Don’t buy a Tudor if you think it might scratch your itch for the AK.

the AK has such a specific look.
the BB58 is kind of generic. so i would go for the AK. personally i want a bb58 but i'm not going to get one until they upgrade the bracelet to have the t-fit. |

Now that Opaline GMT would pair very nicely with an AK as they offer varying form and function.
Congrats on the Tudor and good luck on the AK. |

Owning both i can say I this..... both great buys and excellent in rotation. I limd the modern bright sporty feel of the AK as much as the old school look and feel of the 58.
Grab the 58 while you wait for the AK. Might not wait that long for the AK

This is smart it’s my biggest gripe with the BB58. I was in London a month ago during the heat wave and felt like my wrist was being suffocated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

These pictures answer the question for me. Somehow the AK visibly has a higher air of quality about it + plus an individual look.

Man the BB58 is such a great watch I love it too! Probably going to be my next purchase.
An amazing value at just $4,000. Get the 58 and keep it forever even when you do eventually get the AK. |
