First Ever Pam

Have Been researching Panerai, any thoughts on PAM01085. Also, have been looking at Jomashop to buy it. Any advice would be appreciated.

A simple but efficient design, a hand-wound, no-date movement, a no-nonsense package that goes back to the roots, a modern but cool look… The Panerai Luminor Blue Mare 44mm PAM01085 is a reassuring but also an important addition to the collection.
The new Panerai Luminor Blue Mare has a simple cushion-shaped stainless steel case with sharp angles, a simple smooth bezel and polished surfaces. The dimensions are respectable, at 44mm in diameter and 13.05mm in height, but this is part of the brand’s DNA. The side of the case displays the signature, trademark safety lock crown protection device in brushed steel and the caseback is pressure-fit, dodecagonal-shaped and made from plain steel. Altogether, a solid and clean package with 100m water-resistance.

I have the PAM00111 with the same case and I am very satisfied with it.
I would recommend it to you because it offers 300 meters of water resistance.

I wasn't crazy about the PAM1085 until I saw it on a white rubber strap and it won me over. To me that's a perfect summer/vacation watch.

I would recommend to stick with the older series and models. In panerai case new doesn’t mean better.

I really appreciate the advise and information. After I pay my business taxes I will plan to head over to the AD for the 1085. It will be my first venture into Panerai and Everyones input is greatly appreciated. I will keep the forum posted.

Sincerely

Mark
