Icon5 What would YOU do?

Background: you are looking for a ss watch, you have owned Polar Expys before (3 times) and given it away as presents to family members, you know you love it and the Expy has gotten the most amount of replies ever here (JJ's review), but......

You recently saw a white ss daytona, and someone's post (thank you Karis) has picked your brain.

You can get an Expy at a discount and your AD can get you the daytona for pretty much list in under 4 weeks.

What would YOU do?

Im poor so paying double or triple the price for a Daytona isn't a viable option for me. I would go for the Polar Exp II.

If money were no object, by all means I would go for the white Daytona. No question about it.

Good luck to you!

Regardless of price, get the EXP II. I just love that watch much more than the Daytona.

I'm assuming you've never owned a Daytona, in which case that would be the watch to buy.

I say this because you've owned the white Exp 2 three times already and although you say you love it, maybe it's time for a change of wrist scenery.

In my case it would be the Explorer 2 since I don't have one and do have the daytona. If I did not own an Daytona and had the money that would be the watch I would purchase.

No brainer if price is not a consideration. Daytona. Either dial color.

Gerardo, are you getting the Daytona in the US, or here in Mexico? If the US, go for it.

As you already know, that Daytona is like $$ in the bank down here in Mexico (although I don't trust the banks here). Somebody came into the local AD here last year (EMWA, before they closed), wanting to sell two Daytona's, one a P serial, the other a K serial. The AD offered the seller $18,000 for the pair (one black, one white dial). The seller turned them down, as he wanted at least $20K for the pair.

Get the daytona...you know you want it!

Hello Martin. US. I have built a relationship with my AD, service and prices beat even Caribbean duty free.

Get yourself another Explorer II, Gerardo.

I love and use regularly the dual time-zone feature.

And I don't have a need to track the elapsed time of my bananas going black on the counter - so would be a waste for me to own a Daytona.

It appears as though you have a love of the Explorer.
