Well, so what is the consensus about ROLEX USA
I believe they suck to "high hell of kickback," to quote a famous Douglas scuba diver !
What about you ? Another "Visi Poll" ! |

I'm with you on this one Randy.
Since they "stoled" $200 from me and flat out lied about it I don't do business with them anymore. I'm sure they miss me as much as I miss them. |

Are we talking about NY service center? Or all the service centers, including Dallas? Or Rolex N.A. in general? Soo confused!

Being a Canuck I feel left out and confused as to when the time arises to take mine in. Is Rolex Canada service the same? should I find someone else when its time?

I never used em and wouldn't based on all the stories I've heard here, and now one from Leo too. Amazing, and I doubt I'll use them with the possible exception of warranty work.
The only good story I remember is one from Dadswatch72, posted just the other day.

I have always had very positive experience with RUSA
I have always had very positive experience with RUSA. Every time I have sent in watches for service (about 6 occasions), except for an ancient Tudor which they would not work on, the watches have come back looking like new.
They are fast and I have never had a problem with them. This other poll choice is a joke isn't it? Swatch Group service is the worst in my opinion. I had to send in my Glashutte Original Sport Evolution and after five months it was sent back, still f'ed up. They suck big time. I wouldn't let Swatch service group work on a broken stack of Legos. I have a lot of respect for RSC in NYC. They were very good to me when nobody else wanted to help. I was personally helped by Joanne Russo through the entire process and she was very kind and patient in answering all my questions of concern. Even when I spoke with other service reps, they were very kind and patient. I noticed that everything I asked was answered or written down and passed along to someone who could answer the question at a later time. Attention to detail is something I respect. They were everything I hoped they would be in helping me with my watch. I'm sorry if your experience wasn't equally as satisfying. I don't know their work load but I can imagine they receive thousands of watches and try their best to treat each one the same. You can't make everyone happy all of the time.

FWIW, I dropped by RSCNY unannounced for a couple simple issues yesterday. In and out in under 20 mins and perfectly satisfied.

I'm lucky enough to have a world class watchmaker w/ a Rolex parts account who attends to all my watches.
I was however, thinking of sending my GMT II to RSC when the time comes just to experience a full RSC service. Many can work on the movement but I speculate RSC probably does the best when it comes to case polishing. dP

Why so angry there, Randy??? You seem to be pissing all over the bushes here lately.
Take a walk by the sea or something & enjoy the sand & salt air...

I would gather to say that when you go and buy the next new $6k SUB piece and find a QC issue you might just be put off as well, especially if you sent it in and got it fixed but the "returned watch' had scratches all over it or particulate on the dial because some rookie or uncaring tech has a girlfriend that "texts" him every 10 minutes. Its that kinda world now, so if you dont get things right - you get takin advantage of... Thanks, Randy |

I don't understand why .....
I don't understand why anyone who really has a disregard for RUSA Services would own a Rolex. I have had great service from them for 20 or so years and have been very impressed with any work they have done for me. If I did not feel that they could do the job I would probably not own a Rolex watch.
I also have had a very positive service experience with the local AD who has a Rolex trained watchmaker working for them, so that gives me two very good options. I have sold watches for exactly that reason. Quality of service is very important to me. |

I hear there is a lady in AZ who is an decent watchmaker. Maybe you should go the independent route, as RUSA seems to get your knickers all bunched up.

I've never used them, but have heard nothing but praise for Giovanni at the Service Center in SFO. That said, they are independently owned.
