Seiko Divers Complaint.

Here's a posting on an Amazon.com bulletin board complaining about a new Seiko SKX173 diver.

"I ordered this watch and it stopped working within 24 hours of arriving. I never even took it out of the box. I am returning it. Very very unhappy with this purchase, perhaps battery is dead.

And another.
"The Seiko SKX173 watch was running perfectly for a week but when I didn't wear it over the weekend, it stopped. I don't think a new watch should need a new battery within a week of delivery".

How these people remember to breath beats me,god give me strength.
They should come to TRF and ask JJ the proper procedure for watch winding.

Sometimes it's a shame that the watches can't talk themselves.

"I was delivered to a new owner, who first bit me to make sure I was real, then of course he didnt wear me so I stopped. He then proceeded to open me up, exclaim 'what the heck are all these silly bits of metal doing here', rip out my innards and stick a AA battery inside.... can I return my owner for a less defective model? "

Peter, why would they do that? All of JJ's watches have quartz ebauches.

Yes these people are stupid but they really don't know any better. Its just lack of knowledge.

Like that legendary idiot, I think it was in California, that purchased a PC and found the screen was blank when he tried to use it. He rang the store and complained. The salesman asked him first if it was plugged in to the mains. "What you have to plug it into the power?" was his reply.

And of course the salesman said "Sir, what you need to do is box it up and bring it back to the store for a refund as you are clearly unfit to own such an item"..

When I worked in retail I had a moron come in and kick off at me because he said the remote control I supplied him with his new TV was different to the one in the instruction booklet. "This one is missing all these buttons!" he screamed as he prodded the instruction manual.

I then took the remote control off him and pulled down the access panel on it to show him the buttons..

He was saying sorry for about 10 minutes afterwards.

Isn't that a clock? But if it is, it must be broken, if the time doesn't change. You should take it back to the store and get your money back.
