A Lange & Sohne RL Jumping Seconds - Legit CF Watch or Not

Concerns on the somewhat controversial A Lange & Sohne RL Jumping Seconds (caliber L094.1) watch...
-
As some of you know, constant force watches are pretty cool - especially when you have a 1-second remontoir that can be used to produce a "NATURAL" dead beat seconds. Examples include the FP Journe Tourbillon Souverain & Optimum, Lang & Heyne Heinrich & Konrad, Arnold and Son Constant Force Tourbillon, etc. One of the interesting results of this is the seconds will show dead seconds until the watch runs low on power, in which case it will then start sweeping like a typical mechanical watch until power ends or it is rewound.
-
However, whilst the Lange RL Jumping Seconds does have a 1-second remontoir, it is not used for the jumping or dead seconds. Instead the watch uses a bolt on star-and-flirt mechanism that artificially creates the dead seconds - same as what JLC uses in their Geophysic True Second as well as Habring - neither of which are constant force watches. In other words, they are adding additional complication instead of using the remontoir to run the seconds. The remontoir still regulates the movement, but this is inconsistent with other constant force watches that have 1-seconds remontoirs. Also the Lange remontoir is too far from the the balance, IMO.

What are your thoughts on this - is the movement heresy or some new fangled approach?

Interesting observations. Ive owned both, but ultimately sold the lange. The star and flirt thing did actually bother me enough to sell it. In the end I feel the Zeitwerk is probably the more technically interesting and creative way to utilise the remontoire.
