Over the Moon--My First Rolex!

Hey everyone! I’ve lurked here for a while but finally joined 😊 I just received my first Rolex, a Datejust 126200 white dial with roman numerals! I’m so happy about it and what it means to me. My only other watch is an Omega Seamaster Professional 300m co-axial midsize, bought new in 2018 when my first son was born and it hasn’t left my wrist until now.
I don’t make that much money (relatively speaking, or maybe compared to a majority of Rolex owners), but I’ve worked really hard at my job over the last 18 months and I’m just so proud of what I’ve accomplished that I wanted to commemorate it with a watch I’ve been lusting over for a long time. It’s a huge purchase for me, but it won’t ever come off my wrist until it’s passed down to one of my 2 little boys, and my Omega to the other 😊 Every time I look down at my wrist I feel like I’ve accomplished something; the sentiment is strong for me in this one!
*My wife agreed to let me purchase this Rolex and not give me crap for it if I gave her a 3rd baby….not a chance! Lol But always willing to practice.

Congrats!!! I must ask, what color is your Omega?

Funny enough my first luxury watch was an Omega 300m coaxial back in 2008, the “Bond” (Brosnan) watch but in black dial instead of the traditional Bond blue.

My second luxury watch was a Datejust 36mm, white dial Roman numeral dome bezel with oyster PCL bracelet. Exact same configuration as you!

Isn’t that dial just so crisp in person! My friend has a 41mm like yours, and my wife has a 31mm with white Roman’s dial and it’s just soo good looking

Big congrats on your first Rolex - may it continue to bring you joy and happiness daily

Congrats on all fronts… and, dont forget - you can always justify watch purchase with “it’s a birth watch for the baby!”. Again, congrats. I love white the white datejust.

Milestone pieces are the best! I'm glad you earned your beautiful Datejust. Having a watch from both Rolex and Omega really speaks to your dedication and hard work. Keep it up and congrats!

My advice....

Have three kids if that's what the wifey wants. Nothing better in life than surrounding yourself with a loving wife and a herd of ninos!
