2 tone Sub Bluesy price increase

Happy Friday fellas and Kat! lol. As far as I know she is the only lady on this forum :-). Anyway, my cousin has been offered a Bluesy by the AD. Since I have been wearing mine, he just keeps looking at it and keeps telling me how nice it is!. He told me financially, he would be better off purchasing it early next year but he is scared about the Rolex price increase especially with two tone watches!. I know no one knows but gold has gone up quite a bit from last year. What do you guys think?. His English is not so good so he lets me post instead. Thanks in advance!.

Rolex normally increases its price at least once a year.

If he’s worried about the price increase he shouldn’t buy a Rolex.

If he has to ask, then he doesn't have our sickness/addiction, nor perhaps our enthusiasm for watches/The brand. Have him spend his hard earn money, in something that he really likes and enjoys..

He definitely doesn’t have the same passion but he’s getting there lol. A few years ago, he used to only wear $100 watches and used to tell me anything more than that is stupid. Of course being a watch nut, I would talk about watches with him a lot and would show him my watches often. One day he goes he wants an Omega Planet Ocean!. I was shocked. Remember this is Mr no watch over $100 is worth it lol. I helped him find a 42mm Planet Ocean that he still has.

I got my Bluesy about 2 months ago and when he saw it, his jaw dropped. He said it’s one of the prettiest watches he’s ever seen. I agree :-). A little while ago, he actually expressed interest in getting one which shocked me further. I told him to go an AD and he did!. He’s a work in progress but the results are looking promising :-)

If two tone PM watches are selling slow by the Rolex AD may even offer a discount or at least absorb the sales tax? I would not worry too much of of an increase MSRP but yeah congrats if your cousin decides to buy it now from the AD or later.

Where does your cousin live? I don't think Rolex price changes are worldwide.

If your cousin is in the US, DAVIDSW usually finds out about a price change and posts on TRF days before change goes into effect. Keep an eye out for that post and warn your cousin to be ready to buy. He'll just have to hope the AD still has a Bluesy available.

Buy now or pay one grand extra next year, well in 3 weeks' time. I'd try to get one this month if I had the cash at hand.

I think you might be right. When Rolex increased the retail
Price last January to $15400, gold was about $1900. Now it’s over $2000 so I see at least a $500 increase but probably $1000.
