GST15 - How do you enjoy the Superocean? I'm considering pushing the button on it and can get it new for 20% off. Been in 2 minds over it for a few weeks now.
I have the Superocean 44 turquoise dial, Colt quartz, Superocean Heritage Chrono (supervision black rubber strap), Transocean Chrono Unitime and recently the Superocean Heritage rose gold with blue rubber strap (although not allowed to take it out the box until our 30th wedding anniversary in June).
That Superocean of yours really sings to me, especially with that white dial.
I'd love your thoughts on it.

This is the previous model Superocean. I like it a lot. It has been my beach/ vacation watch for about 3 years. Both it and the Avenger have been great watches. I think that they were the last of the ETA 2824 movements. I believe they use Selitta SW 200 movements now, which are fine as far as I'm concerned.
The Superocean runs about -3 seconds per day, the Avenger at about +2.

As far as the new SO, it's a matter of your taste, but I like the previous version better. My avenger is a 43mm. They now make it in 42. The look is the same, which I like. The previous SO can be found on secondary market for. in the low to mid 2's.

You may want to call Richard Wells at Saltzman's in Newport RI. Great pricing on Breitling and will ship no tax if outside RI. He may even have new old stock on the previous SO, or a pre owned for you. Hope this helps

Sorry Langwang, Just noticed that you are in Scotland, so the Saltzman's RI contact may not be the best for you.

Thanks so much GST15. Great reply and very much appreciated. It's definitely got summer at the beach vibes about it. You certainly haven't said anything to put me off it. Was almost hoping you would. I need some intervention with this addiction!
