Incoming Sub

I’m blown away by this watch. My first Rolex and I’m giddy. It’s extremely comfortable and the glidelock is *chefs kiss.*

It’s about as close to perfection as I can imagine for a watch.

For everyone who was following my “AD Updates” thread, I decided to go grey after my dealer blew his timeline of delivering twice.

I honestly wonder why I waited so long before I pulled the trigger.

I got the watch in the year I turned 40 which is still an amazing feeling.

Congratulations.

If I only owned 1 watch, it would be a Rolex Submariner.

Congratulations, a great watch, in every way. Depending how long you waited on your AD, but you might have saved a few bucks.

Thanks! I really appreciate it! I feel like I just turned 40 instead of in October.

My wait began this February so I really did expect him to come through by October 28th. I really wish now knowing how easy the grey process is that I went that route in September.

I feel like it’s not going to be the last either. I tried on the polar this week and loved it.

I’m not sure if the BB58 is going to stick around for more than a few months.

I suspect it won’t. Don’t get me wrong, great watch in its own right. But when you go and reach for a watch to wear…I think we all know what you’re going to strap on the wrist!

Nads786 I followed your journey through every post, mostly because you were chasing what I was, a Sub. That AD had every chance to do you right and he chose, repeatedly, to choose not too. A bit of advice if I were you. Every time you look down at that Sub tell yourself that you did what you were “supposed” to by playing the AD game. But in the end instead of ramming yourself into that AD wall you went around it and succeeded. Your Sub ALREADY has a story! From 1 Sub owner to another, congrats!

I really agree with this. I had some serious apprehension going grey because of potential fraud / scammers but once I spoke to a few and made them jump through some serious hoops I got much more comfortable.

I’m incredibly happy with the watch - I have a perma smile like the Enzyte commercials from the early 2000s.
