It was spotty for me earlier but it is working now. I don't have enough interest to check the looking glasses to see the extent of the issue.

I run my own caching-resolving nameserver, so chances are it wasn't DNS...

Since it had been down a few days ago, it sometimes works, sometimes not.

I'm on an iMac right now. This site is a bit weird sometimes for me too. Usually the first time I try to access it, it takes a min to load then the rest of the day its fine!

Try using firefox and safari. It will normally work on at least one of them.

I still can't get to it either, I need to use a proxy. I think they blocked a bunch of IP address ranges to stop the DOS attacks, but regular users who happen to be in those same subnets also got blocked. I've tried it on 3 different computers, and none of them can get through, but they all work fine when using a proxy. Here's a traceroute showing that the problem seems to be at LiquidWeb (the hosting provider of this site, I presume):

It's working now... Was not for a bit on mine either.

I think the Admin needs to go to a different web hosting service. No 5 9's for this site at the moment :)

I often time out trying to get to this site. It's not a new occurance, it has always done this for me whether I am at home or at work (different ISPs). I suspect it is just heavy traffic to the site.

this where our pledges goes guys...maintenance and hosting a site like this is not cheap...thats why we need more support from fellow members...its not mandatory but a little help would do...
