Steel green RO arrived!

I got notified on Wednesday and picked it up today. It was my preference of the 4 that I have on my wish list with the boutique so I’m very happy. Really impressed with it in the flesh. Great service from the boutique as well.
Compliments my blue steel code chrono that I got last year nicely…

Gorgeous congrats. Did you have a solid purchase history with AP to make this happen? My boutique keeps moving the goal post on my w this piece.

he's got a steel code, which will definitely open doors to ROs

It doesn't work that way here in the UK at all.

Congratulations Gavster

Saw it on TZ too and the Khaki dial 15510ST is just lovely. Was at APH yesterday/last night and as you say they do look after us UK AP fans so well there.

Enjoy

I bought a ROO. That did nothing. Although I was told beforehand it would. Fun

I began talking to the AP boutique in March last year. The chap there is very pleasant and showed me the full range of RO, ROO and Code. I already had a RO RG dual time I purchased new several years ago at another place. I was quite taken with the recently launched steel codes, particularly the blue chrono so I ordered one of those which turned up within a month or so. He never mentioned that I needed to buy a code or ROO to get a RO, but I’m sure it did help to some extent to build the relationship.

I registered my interest in either the blue or green RO or blue or green ROC. I kept in contact with the boutique every 3 months or so. And then on Wednesday much to my surprise I got a message informing me that a green RO had arrived for me if I wanted it!

After I purchased the watch today, we discussed and looked at some other pieces and I registered for a quite special piece (imo) which they said was potentially possible. I have been very pleased with the service and my main contact (I hope he stays there!!)

That’s incredible. You are very lucky. I’ve been trying for 4+ years and have purchase history. Enjoy!

Congrats on the journey this far, and the excellent 2 APs you have.

AP’s practices are an easy target for bashing from the online community; while AP may not be perfect, I believe by and large it gets its popular watches onto the wrists of proper clients. You being a good case in point.

Good point about AP’s practices. Especially as the Covid craze has waned, it appears the boutiques (at least in the U.S.) have been making an effort to allocate to new clients, and give people what they reasonably want.

Notably, I believe OP actually has 4 pieces now. He had the RG dual time, blue ROC, and blue Code chrono before adding this green RO. So with a solid spectrum of pieces, especially the Code, the RO was very reasonable. I dare say that at least a Jumbo is fair game as next piece.
Congratulations OP!

My bad, I doubled up the blue chrono [code].

No problem, then you can target that next or after a Jumbo ;) Although the blues do start adding up. It’s all good. Wear them in the best of health.

Right. I mean what non proper (whatever that is) client would even want to be seen wearing an AP.

Just congratulating and complimenting the OP, like everyone else. No need to sprinkle in salt.
