Another popular model going below retail
Interesting to see that even the likes of DJ blue dial are coming under retail now (albiet slightly).
I know this wasnt the most popular model but a year or two ago blue DJ 41 in any configuration was hard to get from an AD. I think this is a good thing. We need a more normal market. Link below for reference (skip to deal of the week towards the end). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5ca...tchtrader%26Co |

Maybe in UK, but in Canada that model is still 2-4g premium for grey.

this blue DJ is a one year old watch, not a new one. a brand new one is still above retail price.

Considering Rolex is mass produced luxury jewelry all models should be under MSRP
But it’s not the case and it really doesn’t matter either way

Why?
The built quality and proportion of the latest datejusts starting with 126 are really good. They wear nicely and they look sharp. They are no longer flimsy, they have some heft with many dial option that are vibrant. I say this because I own a 41 SS DJ blue dial with fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet along with other 4 Rolex watches ( Hulk, Batgirl, 41 ND sub and TT Daytona), and I can say it is a very pretty watch with a lot of presence |

It’s just a DJ dial. Easily switchable at RSC I would presume :)

Every mass produced model they make should resell below MSRP, in my opinion.

This is the right answer. Forced scarcity and internet hype have made the watch business, in particular for Rolex, really freaking weird.

I bought a DJ41. I never gave a crap if it is selling above or below retail on the aftermarket. I’m wearing it one or the other and have no plans to sell it. Eventually my son will wear it but I plan on living a long time, so even that doesn’t matter.

I do not really believe what YT videos have to say about the watch industry because it is not a credible source of info. |

Padi this is simply not true. There is so much good watch content on YouTube from real aficionados. Most of the YouTube channels I watch don’t even sell watches. You’re selling yourself short. You are a real asset to this forum but are missing out on so much watch content.
