What are the differences in look of current DayDate’s and older ones?

Specifically looks wise not movements wise. Aside from the bracelets on current DayDate’s not being able to stretch out due to ceramic inserts which is great as older models look a bit strange with crooked asymmetrical stretched links and also the fluted bezels now look sharper…

Are the flutes bezels slightly wider? Howcome current DayDate’s look different from older Daydate’s using the 36 size for comparison since older models didnt come in 40mm.

lugs are brushed on older ones vs polished on 6 digits

fluted bezels should be the same size, it's just that a lot of 5 digits have been polished to death and the fluted bezel ends up being much narrower or smoother

Ahh. The brushed lugs look better imo! Wonder why they stopped doing this.

I guess it makes sense if the fluted bezel got brushed to death as the older models have fluted bezels that almost look “melted” instead of sharp fluted lines.

Surprised they didnt fix the bracelet stretch issue decades ago. I have serious OCD with stretched and uneven looking presidential links

5 digit, double quickset 18239. Obviously older movement but the brushed lugs are my favorite!

The newer ones also have polished sides on the bracelet. The crystal is slightly domed. The most recent version has very different end links that to be honest, is a deal breaker for me.

Even with the ceramic sleeve if not kept clean with regular washing in soap and water they can still wear.

Crystal is not domed on DD40. And personal preference I’m sure, but the end links on the new DD40 are lovely in my opinion. It’s like the bracelet goes right into the case, no interruption.

I’m partial to the new 36mm, particularly the platinum with fluted bezel :)

The deconstructed Roman's on the current DD40 is fantastic. I love it.

Yes. I had a black stick dial, moved on. Then came back to an olive with Roman’s. They look great.

I especially like the light blue color in the watch face. It is very gentle and pleasant.

Had the Olive sold it. The deconstructed messed with my OCD because the mix of thin romans and stick markers
