I was excited about the New Aerospace B70 Orbiter until I read the Specs about the 2 Years battery life.
Always wanted an Aerospace and now they aren’t available. Hopefully a new model is available soon with decent battery life

I bought the new orange orbiter at the weekend. Love it and feel they have improved on the old aerospace in nearly every way. The 2 year battery life is a pain but not enough to stop me from buying. I am wondering if the reason is the always on (though not always illuminated) display? The old models could have both upper and lower displays turned off but this is not the case.
I find it much nicer to use now with the non rotating central button and the 2 chrono style pushers. The improved bracelet with the microadjust clasp is also a big step forward comfort wise.

I’ve been a fan of the aerospace line since the early 90s. I own a couple, one made in about 1996 (56062)and another from 2009 (75362). The original and avantage models were always something I looked at as pretty much the perfect tool watch/daily wear.

Today, I stopped in a Breitling boutique to check out the current aerospace models and was shown the new Orbiter model. Nice piece. Light on the wrist for sure. Buttons now, whoa. Totally new case details. Another whoa. Open caseback, hmm. Gotta say this is quite a change in character from the earlier models. Nice watch, but not sure I’m thrilled with it as an aerospace. Case design, clasp, and proportions were all a little too much of a departure from the original aerospace line for me.

I was a little surprised to hear that this was the only aerospace in the line for the foreseeable future. I’ll be interested to see how the market responds to these.

I am the guy who DIY battery change on my watches. B70 has a different case back screw. That would be reason why I am currently shopping for an Aerospace Evo. ��

I do like the B70. And I think it’s great. Maybe I will like it even more if Breitling would do a B75 that is rechargeable. ��

I have an Aerospace Evo that’s been in the box for a year or so. Now that it’s discontinued I might start wearing it again.

Just picked up the B70 Orbiter version on bracelet but also got the to throw a rubber strap and clasp in to the bargain. I like the orange dial and the think the case is a really interesting shape too. I like that it won’t need winding and so will always be ready to wear. A lightweight, fun watch with a bit more design and refinement than my g-shocks

Just had a chance to see this in person and try it on. It’s very well done. Has my wheels turning.

The quick adjustment bracelet is very cool. The added pushers, which are very well concealed in the case are very nice as well.

Unfortunately this latest generation of Aerospace has lost the feature I loved most in the Aerospace line: the Minute Repeater. For me it is a deal breaker, while I love my 17 years old 42 mm Aerospace Avantage. But hope for the best - as soon as this feature re-appers I'll re-think buying one.

Just got the b70 orbiter - love it. Orange gradient dial is very beautiful. Bezel and rider tabs in a monoblock design are really handsome. Brushed indices and radial brushing on bezel add to the light play. Case flank shape is reminiscent of airplane wings or something aeroengineered. Bracelet is nice and fits the pilot theme/feel, clasp is modern looksing and extremely well done. Backlight is super cool.

I supposed the only double edged sword is how sharp the rider tabs and case flanks are - they almost feel like they can cut. But they look really sharp which is aestnethically pleasing.

The balloon bit is not necessary for me, but it is kind of cool to think that little piece of nylar encircled the globe and saw so much of the world in one grand adventure.

Battery life is not big deal to me. In fact I extended the duration of the backlight to 15 seconds for convenience so it doesn't go dim too fast ! We will see how long it ends up lasting.
