If you won a major, which Rolex would you wear on the podium?

Tennis, Golf, whatever…

For me, it might be the only way to get a WG LeMans….otherwise a platinum DD40.

Did you see when Bryson won it last week. His caddy hands him a Rolex. He just slaps it on and doesn't even look at it. These guys wear whatever watch Rolex wants them to wear. They are so used to it they don't think twice about it.

Saw that (if you're referring to the watch that was handed to him in the scoring room). Bryson was given a watch, put it on, and if my memory serves he did actually look at it. Almost seemed to me a look like "what are you giving me today?", and then went about his business.

Initially thought it looked like a full gold Sub (126618LB), but from pics online it appears more likely it's the two-tone (126613LB).

Yeah that's what I was talking about. He just kind of threw it on like it was an old Seiko. These guys are so used to the Rolex thing when they win tournaments. Slap the watch on for the trophy presentation. I guess they get numb to it after a while. I don't remember him looking at it but it's certainly possible. It was quick if he did.

Yeah, wasn't a long look. My read on it was he wanted to see what he was going to be wearing for the ceremony, not a quick glance simply to confirm it was his watch, but more like a little bit of scrutiny to see what the model was. But who knows.

And nice to see something other than a Daytona on the winner!

Probably different depending on the athlete, but I'm pretty sure some are allowed to wear what they want. Coco Gauff wore a discontinued grape dial OP36 when she want the US Open last year, I doubt that would have been something Rolex picked out for that moment, and she's been spotted wearing it quite often so probably her personal watch with some special attachment.

Yeah it seems like some do pick their personal watch. Tiger used to wear a DSSD a lot from what I remember. It's funny how it works. If you watch Full Swing on Netflix, they make a point to wear the watches on camera (at least the ones with deals). Guess it's in their contract to wear for public appearances or broadcasts.

Looks like they picked out a 126613LB for him this time around. Looks so small on his wrists. They should have matched him up with and SD or DSSD.

It would be my personal watch, or if Rolex forces me to wear something they better let me keep it since it would be something that would forever memorialize an accomplishment of a lifetime. Unless I'm Roger Federer or Tiger Woods and winning these things becomes old habit.

So probably just my 126610LN.

Jack Nicklaus won all his major with the same DD36 on his wrist.

It was recently auctioned to benefit Jack charities.

Le Mans. To wear it to the podium, I’d first need to own it, and I want to own it.

I’d wear an Explorer because it’s awesome. Explorer demand would go through the roof.

If you won a major, which Rolex would you wear on the podium?

I’d wear my Wimbledon bimetal. If it was good enough for Roger Federer to wear while celebrating his win there, it’s good enough for me. Regarding the video, I had the honor of meeting Jack at a major tournament when I was a kid, and after retrieving one of his practice balls, getting him to sign it for me. My Aunt’s house was right off the Country Club, and because it was a major tournament, she received complimentary VIP passes for the whole family, for the inconvenience of people blocking her street and driveway with cars all weekend. I happened to be staying with her at the time. I also got to meet and get Arnold Palmer and Gary Player’s autographs on my program. I am a lover of most sports, and dabble in several. That was a fun weekend!
