RubberB straps - where are they manufactured?
Why is there no info to be found whatsoever? This company seems to be very secretive.
But according to ChatGPT: "RubberB straps are made in Geneva, Switzerland." Can anyone cofirm that they are Geneva based? |

According the company's own website:
How are RUBBER B straps manufactured? Unlike other companies who use deceptive "storefronts" in Switzerland that manufacture in Asia or elsewhere, Rubber B straps are always 100% manufactured in Switzerland by leading professionals in the watch industry, providing our clients with the luxury value they are purchasing. A Rubber B strap will always feature the mould marking "SWISS MADE" and will always reliably and flawlessly mount its intended watch. Their pricing is also consistent with non-Chinese manufacturing. $$$, but beautiful. |

Yes they may be manufactured in Switzerland but although good quality IMHO very overpriced for what they are but like most things once the Rolex name is associated the price quadruples. And although it says Swiss made some parts could be made elsewhere and just assembled in Switzerland.

I know they claim to produce ("make") in Switzerland but has anyone really some evidence?

What I wonder is, if they are just putting the buckle on the strap and thus able to say Swiss Made because of that. Would be interesting to know if the whole thing is made there. Clearly for watches they don't need to be 100% Swiss Made to call themselves that, so I wonder where the line is for a strap.
Regarding the brand, I'm not impressed-- For the cost, that is. Fine straps, I just got one two days ago, but I'm not sold on them being that much better than a $50 strap. they should be at least 1/2 the cost they are. Also their customer service really sucks. which is WILD for a super high margin product! |

BTW, there is a terribly negative review of a RubberB strap and customer service on YouTube. You guys can make up your own mind. I won't link it but it's easy to find.

I know someone that bought a $15 curved end rubber strap from AE and he received a strap that fit very well and was stamped Rubber B. Weird. So who knows. Either that fell of the back of the truck, or they made a mold and are producing from that mold.

They'll have bought an orginal, made a mould, and be knocking off fakes.

I will jump in and triple that the customer service is ridiculous. Granted was several years ago, but I spoke to one of the owners when the strap for my sea dweller did not fit. After much back and forth they finally agreed to take it back saying it was my fault for not being able to install. Once they received the strap they said they had in fact sent me the wrong strap, but refused to pay shipping for the return and for the new strap. Also no apology. Unbelievably bad CS. I have written them off and find Everest a very good substitute. I will say I wish another company would come up with a good rubber strap for the DSSD - Rubber B has the best in that category.

I've had two - both on my old RG Daytona 116515.
I had zero issues with CS, but I've heard it can be bad. Having said that, If I'm putting an aftermarket strap on a £20,000 watch, I'm not buying it for the customer service, I'm buying it for the quality (which was exceptional) Yes, it would be better to have both, but I know which one I'd prioritise. And arguably, Rolex AD customer service in the current market is disgraceful (for most) but we still buy (and love) the watches

The info is right there: https://rubberb.com/company Lots of companies don't disclose exact details of their manufacturing facilities. And they don't have to have a registered company in Switzerland to manufacture there

It's one thing to distrust a company if that's appropriate in a culture. But I can't figure out what part of 100% Swiss Made is confusing.

You're smart Paul, but not everyone is as gifted.
Some humans need to very gently be guided step-by-step through life situations. Did anyone here show them where Switzerland is on a map? We should embrace their challenges, and support them in hopes they may one day gain enough knowledge to comprehend more life situations. And even if they never do, that's ok too.
