I would like your thoughts on a 1675 GMT with service parts

Hello Everyone. What are your thoughts on buying a vintage GMT with Rolex replaced service parts? This particular watch has service dial, hands and bezel. Obviously the price is significantly lower than an all original watch. Would you purchase or no???

I assume the watch has working lume. If the price is right and the watch is in great shape, then why not? You'd have a 1675 that is fully functional.

For me, it would depend on why I was buying it. If it was to add to a treasured collection of vintage pieces and wear sparingly a few times a year, I’d want it original and would take pride in keeping it that way.

If I was going to wear the heck out of it and I can get a good price, I’d be happy with it looking brand spanking new and covered in service parts. 1) it’ll end up needing them anyway; and 2) I don’t feel guilty when I damage it and get parts replaced myself.

Good points. I tend to wear the hell out of them and then trade or sell. I guess the resale is the question

Maybe post this in the vintage section. All I would say is most would prefer a watch to ba as genuine as possible and once you start switching out parts it’s never the same even if it’s reflected in the price. But if you like it that’s all that matters I myself bought an old Tudor sub with a service dial which I wear as my daily

Not a watch that would interest me, but people do buy them at the right price.
