Daytona availability
I am on my AD list for over 2 years now and would like your perspectives opinions. Can you guys let me know how many each store gets yearly? This question may be unanswerable but how long might one wait? I am looking for the stainless model white dial. I am open to all constructive comments and thanks in advance

Unless you have significant history with your AD you won’t get one.

If you don’t have extensive purchase history, I would save time and money on unnecessary purchases and go grey market.
My AD had 100k minimum spend before being considered. |

My friend that’s a tough one to get from the AD unless you have huge spend history is high and still may not get one, I don’t know how big your AD is? If it is one of big ones? No chance. Like WOS forget it.
If it’s a small family AD your chances are better but still a long wait. Or you could very lucky like winning a lottery ticket. It happens sometimes. Speak to your AD they should be honest with you and tell you how long. Good luck, |

That is a question best asked to your AD and hopefully they can offer a little update on your chances

Too many variables. A big city Rolex only Boutique might get 30 a year, 15 of each dial. A smaller family jeweler that still carries Rolex might only get 6-8 a year. Your AD may or be not be upfront about that.
“AD lists” mean different things at different dealers. My AD does keep lists of sorts, you would have to be invited to their Daytona list. I would ask them for more information. |

Definitely varies per market/AD.
As others have stated, purchase history, esp. $80-$100k+ opens doors. Enjoy the hunt. |

As stated spend history and the number of total watches shipped to your AD based on size. I would believe that unless you are a significant spender with a large total you will never get this watch. Before you buy enough to qualify just buy the one you want from one of our Trusted Sellers and enjoy it. Good luck.

Alternatively, if you don't want to build a spend history to make the wait list, you can do some kind of "out of the box" favor for the AD - this worked for me. I helped the AD owner with something business related and she offered me a 116500 within 8 months.

Depends on which Daytona you want, PM seem to be easier to get .. for me anyhoo, good luck you never know when that call may come … then the waiting can be worth it, unless you’re happy to pay grey …

Been on the list 3+ years and haven’t gotten anything. Went grey and couldn’t be happier.

I get my stuff from a pretty large AD been doing business with them for over 10 years now. He told me they get 15 SS Daytonas per year.
With a list in the hundreds to get it. |

Don't believe those who say ADs get these each month. They are few and far between which is why they sell for double or more MSRP used. To get an AD to allocate one to you without a substantial relationship is probably unlikely unless Rolex for some reason decides to up the deliveries to ADs. Each AD will attempt to maximize the profit to store when they allocate these watches. Keeping their best customers satisfied is number one to maintain their big spend customer base.

each AD gets a different amount a year. the AD's in NYC where I am get a lot more of them than other AD's in smaller markets.
I believe the facts remain the same around the country and around the world though...... white dial SS Daytona is arguably the hardest watch to get at an AD and you need to have a hefty spend history or a great relationship with your AD to be considered for one....there are no "wait lists" per se for this watch....you either "qualify" to get one or you don't....If you "qualify" at your AD for one, you'll know. |

You just need to find the right AD. I picked up one last year, and no, I don't have a hefty spend history with this AD. My purchases have been two Rolex watches and a gold necklace for my son for his high school graduation. I just picked up a blue Sky from the same AD just over a year after receiving the Daytona. There are great AD's out there...keep looking!

If it takes $100k to spend at an AD for example I wonder what it would take for a BLRO.

I feel your pain; the wait for a Daytona can be tough. Availability varies, and it's hard to say how many each store gets. Wait times can be 5-10 years, especially for the stainless white dial. Hang in there, and good luck!

You will know if you have the relationship to ask for a steel Daytona. It’s not one of those watches you are going to get lucky and get a random call for. The steel
Models are a real commodity for the ADs so they are very selective about who gets them, especially the white.
