My first Rolex was an LV. It was a flat 4, and because I’m a high-functioning idiot, I sold it.

I’d say that flat 4 LV serviced its roll well by getting you hooked on watches, and I think this passion of watch collecting turns us all into high-functioning idiots. You’re in good company here.

Breaking out my LV for my 70th

Got this back in 2004. Bertolli green is iconic and rarely seen.

Just spotted this custom TT Hulk at lunch today. Was absolutely sick in person. The wife was rocking a Bluesy.

Love mine too! The early flat 4s are the ultimate collector model from the past 20 years.

There was a time when I had two green Subs (both in foil) to choose from. Hulk won, with a slight edge over Kermit.

That's a custom sub? Did they just change the bezel from a TT sub to green?

You need the sunburst green dial too if it's a custom Hulk.

It was indeed a “Hulk”. A local jeweler in Dallas got it done for them. Not sure how with the green ceramic/gold knurled bezel. Looked very cool to me. That said, I was looking at his wife’s Bluesy the entire lunch lol

Too many factors to make the “best” claim. “Best” in what way? Certainly the feel and build is very different between a five digit Sub vs Ceramic six digit watch to the point they are apples vs oranges taking color out of the equation.

I disagree. The bracelets on the newer models are much better. The newer models have a longer power reserve. Ceramic bezel holds up better over time. Although some think the newer moment isn’t as good.

Her Love bracelet has done a number on the polished side of her Sub.

Absolute fact.

The 16610LV is not only the best green Sub, it is the best Sub of them all - Maxi Dial, perfect case size, and the light and thin hollow link bracelet is much more comfortable than the bulky modern version.

The best Sub in every way…
