AD Selling out the back door? - Here’s pictures!

I’ve been on the list at this AD for a very very long time. I stop by and see my SA pretty regularly, and there is NEVER anything available. I email with her too, trading updates and stories to keep the conversation going. I never get the call, and never hear from them aside from my stopping by when driving through the neighborhood.

Now I know why. Because they’re selling their inventory out the back door to the grey market and not to us, the end consumer.

The system is broken! And it’s ADs like this that give the entire system a bad rep.

Will Rolex do anything about it, nope. This AD is one of the biggest in Los Angeles.

all those dates are from weeks ago, how do you know they're not from flippers? guy in the first pic even looks like he's crossing out info on the invoice

So? Because its a few weeks ago means it didn’t happen? To me, it looks like a bulk purchase on the AD invoice that went right to the grey market for sale.

Interpret the photos as you wish….

could be a flipper, could be back dooring. the point is we don't know from those pictures and they don't prove anything, unlike the title of this thread implies

“the system is broken?” It’s a luxury item sold by a private business; they can sell it to whomever they like, and however they like.

“Backdoor Bhindi” asks for bundling from VIPs too. Of course not all watches. And not every time.

To be fair, I don’t think they’re selling their entire inventory to greys.

You didn’t make their actual list of people they were selling watches to.

I don’t get what these photos imply? Once someone gets sold a watch it’s totally up to them if they decide to resell it on the same day. It’s not a crime to sell property you own for profit.

That’s exactly how Rolex operates—they sell to the AD’s, and from there, it’s up to the ADs to manage sales to their customers. Each AD has its own system and set of rules.

Not surprised at all. One of the biggest grey dealer buys from them.

The second photo down has part of the dealer information. Matches Bhindi Jewelers , 18508 Pioneer Boulevard
Artesia California 90701

The photo IG story picture says “picked up and sold in one hour”.

Back door Bhindi

There's a reason this AD has this nickname.

I've said it before. To us they are "flippers". To the AD they are "great customers". That guy might buy 50-100K of watches a month. Most of us can't be at that level.

I would be pretty frustrated if this were my AD.

Brutal to see an actual AD do this in California and get away with it. Maybe Bhindi will lose their status to sell Rolex.

Is this the same store?

https://www.cbsnews.com/sanfrancisco...time-burglary/

Also looking at their yelp reviews, there is a whole bunch of 1 star ratings even tho the average is 4 stars.

Definitely smells like a fish store. I agree I do hope they lose their Rolex AD status if they are selling to known dealers.

Maybe the essence of this thread is to address such circumstances…

…Rolex going to Boutique model. Just a thought.

The transition might take a while. When I went to a boutique, they were very friendly but was also very upfront about not being able to get me a GMT and to stick with my own AD. For someone starting their watch collection journey, I would recommend starting with a Rolex boutique, but for those of us who already has a sizable collection, it's impossible to start a new relationship unless I go a buy a few DJ only to "flip" it for loss in order to have a relationship.

You would think that the grey dealer would be a little more cautious for his relationship with the AD if buying and flipping. What idiot posts a pic revealing their supplier (the letterhead). Their relationship with that flipper may be ceased already. Who knows. Sucks to see, especially when waiting for a piece but unfortunately it happens, intentionally and unintentionally. Whatever you do if you still want to maintain the chance of potentially purchasing something from them, do not call them out (the AD). Stay the course.

I've heard a lot of negative things about this AD.

I’m sure, it not just Bhindi out there doing this, there are many like this or even SA doing this on the side without the AD knowing about it , or a manager. All you need is the hook up.

Report them if you have enough proof. Rolex may do something or not. Bhindi is a pretty big AD in LA, I think?

I would be very upset too however this does not surprise me.

The AD has to sell at MSRP.

So,

What is the benefit to the AD unless it is a model it can't sell? On higher demand models the AD would just as soon sell to regular people I am sure versus flippers. But what does a flipper look like anyway, does he have three arms or three eyes stands out easily?

And if it is a lower demand model the AD can't sell like Datejusts or two tones what do you care who buys it?
