30k budget with falling prices

Title says it all.

What would you eye? WG sub with blue bezel? Couple of SS GMTs? SS AP?

Or wait and see where the bottom is?

Prices have been stable for a while I don't think prices are falling as you suggest buy what you like now and don't try and time the market with a crystal ball

it depends. no one knows where the bottom is but there are great prices across the board except for some models so i would be heavily considering buying pieces i've been waiting to buy

Trying to time the market, huh? How do you know we're not already there?

I think you buy when you think it's a good price for you and then don't look at the market again. For example, if Panda Daytona is $20k, I'd buy one right away. But that's because I don't want it that badly, otherwise I might raise my price level.

I would spend my energy determining which watch I truly desired most rather than wasting it on trying to time the market.

No point in speculating, but to answer the question, I would definitely go for something PM. Pricing is under msrp on many.

It is a little nuts. I saw a panda on Davidsw for upper 20s. WG sub for 30. RG DD 45kish. Oh well, no crystal ball

Buy when you’re comfortable with the price on a watch you truly love/want. Take comfort that’s it likely a lot cheaper than it would have been before. If it’s value goes up in the future, great…if it goes down a bit, who cares…

Don’t wait for a bottom..you’ll never know once you’re actually there.

I would try looking for a nice Patek annual calendar in the 30-40k range.

Watchcharts would definitely say differently. We aren’t at the bottom. Great podcast on this https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcas...=1000665855707 or Spotify https://open.spotify.com/episode/4uz...TBqxAcg3tsyhKw

How can anyone possibly know at what point the market has or will bottom out? Buy what you really like at a price point that you are comfortable with would be my recommendation

Trying to time the bottom of the market is near impossible, but prices are still falling.

When you do decide to take the plunge, make sure you haggle hard, as Grey asking prices are optimistic

If you're happy to wait, wait until WatchCharts overall index rises 5%, then buy:

Nothing in todays Rolex line up excites me so if I had 30K spare it would most certainly be not used on any watches.

If it wasn't on my radar before, the market isn't going to dictate what I'm buying.

From Rolex, RG YM40 or WG Sub.

AP RO at $30k would be a stretch. A Vacheron Overseas would be a better priced option.

Depends on what one has already for timepieces. Here's my choice to add:

Just had the daughter's wedding this weekend. So I'am a bit tapped at the moment.

But if I could it would be the Smurf for me, Hands Down.

Best.
