New FOIS released

Here it is from what I saw on another site.
Apparently 39.7mm and has the 3861 calibre inside.

Interesting. I don’t love the faux patina here. The retro patina works on the EW321, but leaves me unimpressed here.

Do like the case profile with strain lugs, alpha hands, and DON

The faux patina is pretty much a deal killer for me. Otherwise, this is a really nice watch. I like the alpha hands, the case dimensions, and the flat link EW bracelet.

I quite like it against the blue/grey dial.

Love everything apart from the faux patina which is too dark. The EW321 was perfect.

What I like:
- bracelet
- 3861 movement
- slimmer case profile

What I don't like:
- faux patina - didn't like it on the ed white or speedmaster trilogy, I don't like it here.

Ambivalent about:
- sapphire crystal looking like a hesalite - just make it a hesalite!

I’m glad they are limiting production of the 321 movement. From my understanding, they really only have capacity to make 1000-2000 watches per year with the 321, which makes it seem more special (to me).

As for the watch itself, I’d need to see one in person before I pass judgement. Lume here seem a bit contrived but IMHO looks very nice

Wonder if that bracelet will fit on a CK2998.

Not bad but also not an immediate purchase. I will see this one in person and probably wait a bit for them to hit the secondary market with a price reduction.

I'm not super familiar with all the speedy variations but would confuse me for the Ed white with the straight lugs

The gray-blue dial is really nice. The dirty orange lume, less so.

I simply can't get onboard with the faux patina trend. It ruins an otherwise lovely watch.

Nice enough, but not enough for me to want one over my previous FOIS.

Bracelet alone makes me want one. Agree, prefer a counter trend on faux lume

Why is colored lume bad just because it is similar to a color that some older lumes aged into? My understanding is that new lumes don't change color as they age, so if you want your lume to be blue or green or beige or orange or whatever, you have to apply color to the lume. I don't get why that is considered by some to be a bad thing; it's just a design choice. And here, I think the colored lume makes the watch look better than if the watch was only black and white, just like IMO the true FOIS watches looked better once their lume aged away from white.

Does nothing for me. I mean it's nice but I have zero intention on buying one. And I freaking cannot stand fauxtina. Just hate it with a passion and I really don't like the look of it on this reference.

This is exactly where I’m at. I love my FOIS. Such a classy little watch with a ton of character and charm.

If I didn’t have an FOIS and wanted something new, this would make my decision a bit more difficult, but I still think I would pick my FOIS as I like the non-faux patina a bit better. I do like the bracelet option on this new one.

Nice looking piece for sure. Makes it harder to justify the 321 as you’re pretty much paying double for the movement alone. Time to make this flat link bracelet the standard among all speedies.

New FOIS released

I’m sure is a good watch and looks like it has aged but actually not aged so when someone ask that’s nice patina the answer will be : no that’s faux cough homage patina 😀😀😀

It’s a classic release from Omega, FOIS was never spectacular so the remake cannot be

But it is a nice watch for lovers of fois, speedy collections or new comers in the speedy black spiral hole

Bracelet it’s the best !

I've always liked the FIOS line...straight lugs to me are just so much nicer and more clean...I dig it.

Blue dial is nice but I’d have to see the fauxtina IRL. Might not be as dark.

Overall, I like it. Like some of the others, I'd rather not have faux patina.

The proportions are fantastic and love the blue gray dial. I am not a fan of dark fautina but orange/brown always photographs darker so I have to see one in real life to judge.

I think the faux patina will make the watch look better in the long run. I have a few watches from the 90s and the early 2000’s with tritium and early generation superluminova. Once the watches are worn and aged, the creamy tritium just looks so much nicer imho.

I used to dislike the beige lume because I saw it as imitating something it’s not. Now, I just think of it as colored lume that complements the dial and watch. I see it as no different than what IWC and the Seamaster did with green and the summer blue.

I get the lume comments, but there’s not too much not to like here. And at a price cheaper than the sapphire sandwich. I think this may be tricky to get for a while.
