Help on where to buy a couple of Rolex watches

I am looking to purchase some watches. I also would like to purchase all of these watches from 1 dealer and I am wanting to purchase these pre owned...or new if I have to.

I am wanting a DSSD James Cameron, a Rolex Explorer II white or black dial (doesnt matter which dial honestly) and a 36mm Datejust. Also wanting to buy my wife a Cartier Tank Francaise Mother of Pearl Steel Ladies Watch.

My son is in the Army was just selected to be a member of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. I want to buy him a Tudor Heritage Black Bay Bronze Black Dial.

The cheapest place I have found to purchase all of these watches is the SwissWatchExpo website which is in Atlanta. I have looked at Luxury Bazaar, David SW, Grand Caliber and a cpl others.

Does anyone know of the best place to purchase these watches other than the place I have found?

(edit) I am willing to fly anywhere in the continental US to purchase these watches.

Thank you all for your help.

Stick to the places you’ve already found. The way you’re inquiring is just inviting unwanted attention and potential trouble. That’s my

I’d go with a trusted seller here. I bet they can put together a fairly reasonable package deal on these

Agree. Based on prior experiences here on TRF, I'd expect some sketchy (though some legitimate) incoming PMs from the forum.

What you are looking for should be achievable and you will see more trusted resellers than the ones you mentioned

Use the link below which will take you to the "Rolex watches for sale" section of this forum. At the top of the page are some of the trusted sellers on the forum. As mentioned above, reach out to one or more of them stating what you are looking for.

Op, I would ask the sellers you mentioned for a price for the package and a few of the TRF sellers. See who offers you the best deal and have them delivered to you.
No need to travel unless you would a road trip.

Cheers,

I’ve had good experiences with a few sellers here. The ones I can personally recommend and will vouch for are Takuya, Brian Briboxer and Sohais. Stay safe and happy hunting. Thank your son for his service.

Why do you want to buy them pre-owned?
Trying to buy them cheap can be unsafe.

If they are from a trusted seller how would it be unsafe, or if I go to their storefront in person, why would it be unsafe?? And, I dont want to be put on a waiting list and wait months and months. I want to go to a store and buy them right then and there instead of waiting forever. I am on a list at 3 local stores for a Submariner ad I have been waiting almost a yr......so, that is why I asked of any trusted sellers that may possibly be cheaper than the ones I am currently looking at

Thanks, that is what I plan on doing. But I retire from the VA in 29 days and I am just looking for a reason to go on a road trip on the Harley...or fly.

I think in this market you may be able to negotiate a somewhat significant price reduction compared with the price shown on a dealer’s website.

Then when you factor in the idea that you would like to buy five watches at once, I would think some dealers would bend over backwards to get that sale.

Good luck!

As long as you don't fall for people masquerading as those trusted sellers or that their storefronts are the real ones, sure.
It sounds like you know what you are doing then just follow through.

Not for you but it amazes me how people would fall for scams just to save 1000 on a watch that costs 10s of 1000s. There are also cases of people falling victim to robbing and fake watches when dealing face to face in a bank so that was the reasons I suggest that you might as well buy from AD.

I'm sure if you went to an AD and you actually are willing to buy those watches on the spot with MSRP including your Submariner then the AD would make it happen within reasonable timeframe (assuming there is an AD that sells all these watches).

Best of luck and be safe.

Unless he has a great relationship with an AD, I don't think this would happen. A person walking in off the street, asking for multiple desirable SS Rolex's from an AD screams "I'm a flipper". His best bet is a trusted seller from this forum. One of them could most likely make it happen.

I disagree. the market is not a flippers paradise anymore and the references he is after are hardly on any flippers radar.

id try the AD route first, if not, id stick with Takuya

Buy the seller but the prices on this forum seem 6 months to a year behind the market.

Research average prices per watch and negotiate down from there as prices are still continuing to fall., don't fall for their BS about "that particular model is flying out the door sir".

Look at the amount available here and the amount of adverts which have 'bump' every other day.

It's a buyers market and you should bear that in mind. let them know if they don't want to negotiate, other dealers will..

Good luck but may I recommend the polar dial ;-)

Thanks for the input! My 1st choice is the polar dial

I have an excellent relationship with my AD and I am probably considered a VIP in their eyes. That being said, even with having this relationship, I would NEVER be able to bundle a DSSD James Cameron, a Rolex Explorer II white or black dial and a 36mm Datejust all at once.

In the current market it doesn't work that way, at least at my AD. At best, I can maybe get two Rolex's from them a year, but probably not both in SS. The issue is they have other clients as well, who also want the same watches as I do. So they have pretty much told me I can only get so many watches a year so their other clients can get watches as well.

In my opinion, to try and bundle three desirable SS watches from an AD at one time ain't gonna happen. Ok to ask, but may be better off with a trusted dealer.

I have a great relationship with my AD as well, I don’t know if I’m considered a VIP (probably not), but I was able to get a SS Daytona from them , and a 2024 Pepsi on jubilee from them at the beginning of 2024 when supposedly they were harder to get than a kidney. I don’t think a bundle of these 3 watches is easy at any AD, I was just saying that I doubt he would be labeled a flipper right away seeing as there isn’t a profit to be made on these watches.

SA’s know the market and most follow the grey market pricing

Definitely this. They'll do all the work and should give you a very competitive price given the quantity of watches you are looking at.

Brian is right on point here. I seriously doubt any AD would deliver on what you are looking for. They have too many loyal customers in line. Reach out to DavidSW or Takuya, or one of the other trusted sellers in the Boutique sellers section and let them put it together for you. You can fly in and pick them up without any hassle!
