116500 vs 126500 Bracelet

Hey all happy weekend!

Super random question but it’s killing my OCD!

Very lucky to have just acquired a black dial 126500 to keep my panda 116500 company - on modern oyster bracelets I remove one link from12 o’clock side and put the micro adjustment in the clasp to the tightest..

When I look at the two watches side by side the 116500 has an extra removable link over the 126500 - anyone else notice this? I know the bracelet has changed slightly but seems strange to remove a removable link?

As I said super random - let’s see if anyone else has bad OCD too

Anyone haha? My Pepsi (2022) has just had two removable links on the 12 side (after removing one) Panda is a 2020 so not sure if there was a change? Driving my OCD mad sorry!

This is correct.
116500LN has 3 fixed links on the 12 o’clock side. The 126500LN has 4 fixed links on the 12 o’clock side.
The same shift happened when the GMT oyster bracelet was updated from 78200 to 79200.

Interesting…all of my Oyster bracelets have two links taken out, one from each side. Will I have to change on my next purchase?

Depends what model oyster. My 126710 and 126500 both have two links off.

The total number of bracelet links on the watches at purchase are the same as before. The difference is that the 126500 and 126710 oyster bracelets have 1 more fixed link on the 12 o’clock side (and therefore 1 less removable link) than before.

Interesting, I never noticed that, I did notice that the oyster bracelet is larger than the jubilee bracelet on some models, not by much, I always thought they were the same size.
On the jubilee I need to add a link on the oyster I don’t.

I don't think they changed the overall length of the bracelet. Or the size of each individual link. I think the Oyster is still 1cm per link. So if the length of the endlink is the same, and the amount of the links (excluding the endlinks) is the same (whether removable or not), you should be fine removing one on each side again.

Thanks, that seems obvious to me now. From the first post I incorrectly surmised they had changed the dimensions of the links.
