New DJ Question
I am looking to make my first Rolex purchase.
I am on a waitlist for a DJ 126234 (36mm white gold, fluted bezel, black dial, Jubilee) here in the Northeast outside of a large city, albeit for only a few months so far. I have several important events happening these next several months I would like to have the watch for. My AD is aware of this. Is this a more or less in-demand piece? Any thoughts on what a wait time may be? Thank you |

Really just depends when they get it. I would imagine that should be pretty available.

I would think that would be a relatively common variation that should be available fairly quickly. That said US dealers are nearing the end of their ‘24 allocations and in January there’s usually a 3-4 week pause before ‘25 deliveries begin.
I would suggest spreading your net a little wider and ask for it at some other nearby ADs. |

Hey welcome to the forum! I would personally reach out to our trusted sellers in the classifieds / for sale section of the forum:
AU_911tt (Chase), TAKUYA (Thanh Do), SohAIS (Aamir), OCROLEXGUY(Patrick), DAVIDSW(David), Bodybump (Oscar) and JUSTROLEXES (Tony) (In no particular order above, they are all great!) And tell them what configuration you want. I’d bet they can source one within a week for not much over retail + tax (if over at all) and then you’ll have the watch for your events. If your AD does call you for it then you can chose to pick it up and resell or trade the secondary market one so you can build a relationship with your AD. If this is a “one and done” Rolex for you then I’d just keep the secondary market one and call it a day. AD relationships are great for acquiring multiple pieces over an extended period of time, but with the market continuing to soften if you only want the one watch might as well just get it from a trusted seller and be done so you can enjoy it instead of stressing/waiting for a call that might not come in time. Just my $.2

London AD's you are looking at a 3-6 month wait for a DJ (depending on configuration and any purchase history). Touch base in a friendly manner every 2 months with your AD and i'm sure they will sort you out.
Fluted Bezel and Jubilee are more sort after, but worth waiting for. Good luck. |
