If they had plans to drop it any time soon they would not have relaunched it in the 126660 format

I'd think they'd d/c the black DSSD before the JC, but you'll never know until they do.

I personally think that this model will see a discontinuation before the LV. I would love one but I don't think I can pull off the size. Nevertheless, a gorgeous watch and an absolute beast of a tool watch.

Deep Sea D Blue 126660 question
Love mine and think JC will be discontinued before black dial. Just don’t think that will be seen since it just came out.
I’d like to see Rolex offer a 22mm OysterFlex bracelet option for us that might want to occasionally switch to rubber, but keep the security of a bracelet (underlying titanium) that also keeps it 100% Rolex. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It just arrived and is quite hot. Does not make sense to discontinue

I can see it being discontinued in 1-2 years.
In general terms, I think the trend (and I don't say that in a demeaning way) of most watches ballooning in overall size has mostly subsided. There is now talk of many people now re-discovering the beauty of smaller dress watches. Not me, I like a watch with substance. In specific terms, I think any watch that commemorates a particular event, etc has to have a somewhat limited run time, otherwise it becomes more an item in of itself and less something to celebrate said event. Personally, I would love if it was discontinued as I just picked one up! |

Discontinue this watch, which is based on one of their biggest and most proudest achievements? I doubt it. I think this will still be available in 15 years time. Besides, they’ll likely discontinue the black before the blue.

It will. Sooner or later. Just don't know when.
Personally I guess it will not happen in coming few years. |

Why would they. Makes no sense, they just updated it and retooled the manufacturing to produce a new case and bracelet, they gave it the new movement and presented it with fanfare at Basel just last year.
Not to mention that engineering wise, it's Rolex's most advanced tech in a watch. It's going to be a looooong while before it's gone. |

Rolex can discontinue D-Blue and launch a DS in different color variation (if Rolex wants to make some change to DS). Nothing is impossible. |
