Ceramic Coke GMT (LNRO) will get introduced in 2020 available on a jubilee only thus making the GMT available on a BLNR, BLRO & LNRO. Prices on the greys will increase AGAIN for ALL GMT Master & IIs.

Coke GMT 2020

The Coke was rumored to have manufacturing issues, so it’s 2019 release was delayed. Seeing Rolex tweak the Pepsi colors (darker), makes me think it may have to due with these mfg issues, and related to creating a black/red that can stand side-by-side the Pepsi.

The BLNR seems like a temporary stand-in for the Coke.

Some good points made by forum members, many of them I also think are plausible.

Perhaps, but I think the only change we see to the sub is an upgraded movement, and a tweak to the lug holes to make the glidelock less compatible with other models.

We've had 2-3 years of new/updated GMT's, I think this year's focus will be on a different line. Most likely new movement Subs.

I could definitely see Rolex introducing a ceramic bezel coke in 2020.. and I would definitely want one, I think those colors look great!

The main focus of 2020 will be the launch of the reworked Submariner range with the 3235 movement rather than anything to do with the GMT.

Just my humble opinion.

Coke GMT 2020

Wishful thinking bro. It makes little sense for Rolex to do that. They would cannibalize the Pepsi. We’ve already seen they want to differentiate lines with GMTa being jubilee only.

Let’s look at this logically. This is not even Rolex level logic. The coke would have the same red GmT hand and the same dial. The same red on the bezel, and what, a slightly darker black (instead of blue) at the top of the bezel? Why would they even do this. They specifically got rid of the black black black gmt to separate from all black sub. The Rolex line is now becoming very distinct, to prevent cannibalization and increase sales/differentiation among lines. Where have you ever seen them even do this in the modern ceramic age? Don’t forget, they also have 2 white gold Pepsi variants. If the SS Pepsi dial was blue I would kind of see it but it just makes no sense. Rolex went so far as making absolutely sure the WG Pepsi has different dial from SS so as to not cannibalize each other and to be distinct. They would have to change Pepsi dial again next year on SS models. It would create chaos and Rolex likes consistency nowadays. The old times are over. I’m not saying coke won’t happen but I don’t see it next year. I strongly feel next year is the sub time. 2021 is for the explorer line as it’s an anniversary year and maybe just maybe 2022-2024 will have some introduction of a coke in white gold only and possibly white gold Pepsi will be gone.

As a fun prediction, I think Rolex usually has some form of anniversary green in each sports line. They got rid of the all black with green writing and green gmt hand. I can see them putting the green in a bezel with black in half of it and bringing back green writing. That would be in line with what they’re doing. Can anyone photoshop the hulk green into a half bezel?

I don't think so. I have a feeling 2020 is the year of the submariner.
