GMT II Ceramic bracelet clasp question
I just got a GMT IIC this afternoon, my first watch with the new style bracelet. The "front" of the clasp, the part that snaps into place is loose, I'm sure this is normal and it seems fine, however, when unbuckled this front part of the clasp will ride up on top of the rear, larger part and needs to be pushed underneath the rear part before putting the watch on. I hope this makes sense, soory I do not know the exact terminology for these parts.
Anyway, does that sound right, or is some adjustment needed so this front part of the clasp does not ride up? Again, it is not a problem with the clasp is shut, only when it is open. Thanks much! |

Yeah, I was afraid that might not make too much sense! :)
The part of the clasp that the flip-lock locks down into is the part I am referring to. This part is separate from the rest of the clasp. When it isn't buckled it will pivot up and before buckling the watch, it needs to be pivoted back into position. Is this normal or should it always stay in the position so it is ready to be buckled and the flip-lock locked down? I hope that makes a bit more sense! :) |

I think I see what you mean now.
The fliplock is alway loose and will not stay open when the bracelet is open you need to make sure that the fliplock is out of the way before you close the bracelet or the bracelet clasp will close on the top of the fliplock. This is normal and is the same on my daytona and on other rolex fliplocks. Did you understand that? and does it answer your question?

That's not what I was referring to, but not your fault, without knowing the proper Rolex terms it's kinda tough to describe. In any case, I have seen enough pics of the new clasp mine seems to be just fine. Thanks much for the assistance, though!
