Stolen in London

Stolen in London
A fellow collector has had three watches stolen in London .. sounds like he was targeted and they knew the value involved ... but that doesn’t necessarily mean they know how to cash out of them so please be on the lookout :

Rolex6265 paul newman serial 3032085

rolex big red 6263 serial 5503384

Patek Philippe 5711 serial 7207583/6283655

Many thanks

Jed

Sad to hear. If they turn up for sale in Sweden they will be spotted.

Sorry that has happened to your friend. If the authorities can swiftly acquire any surveillance or security video, and get it out to the public via TV, there is a chance the thief can be captured before the watches are fenced onward.

It is amazing how little the fence pays crooks for the first flip - like 10p to the £ - and then the watches get into the underground’s network who do know how to market them.

Your friend should get copies of the police report to both Rolex and PP so their service centers can have the info. I know that doesn’t help right away, but if the watches aren’t recovered soon then they will eventually get into the hands of an unsuspecting collector who might seek service from an RSC or PPSC.

Hope he gets swift justice.

Really get bummed out every time I read such news.
Has put me off wearing a watch in certain places.
I hope your friend's watches somehow find their way back to him.
