Bal Harbor (Miami) Boutique

Heading down for the weekend. Assuming it's like every other boutique/AD? Worth checking out?

It is Rolex by Tourneau. That should tell you all you need to know.

I thought it was 2 separate stores there?

EDIT: Upon further inspection, you're correct. Waste of time.

I was there six months ago and they had a date and no date sub and would have been happy to sell both to me, with no prior relationship and as a vacationer. Worth a look.

Timing is everything in your case although realistically you probably have a 1% chance of a score.

Typical BS

I was there a few weeks ago and while the woman assisting me was cordial it was the typical spiel, "if you haven't spent A LOT of money here with us in the past, don't bother asking for anything you don't see in the case". I chuckled and she went on to say "if you have bought a Rolex before from another AD - keep shopping there as you'll have a far better chance of getting what you want". So if you're in the mall do a fly by the window and keep walking unless you see something out that catches your eye.

Refreshingly, I was at another AD in the Keys (Islamorada) and they said that they put everything in the case as it comes in and hold no lists so everyone has a fair chance, according to the salesperson I was speaking with. She said the owner prides himself on being fair and equitable and they respect new and established customers equally. I was pleasantly surprised as this is of course not the norm these days. The only issue is how often are you passing though the Keys?

All Rolex stores are AD’s. And they are all the same... will only bring out the hot stock for their VVIP’s.

I’ll check out RM, but heading into a Rolex AD there’s actually a possibility of leaving with something (although albeit a small chance). With RM, there’s no chance.

I was there last week. Nothing to see in the case, no admittance they had anything in the back unless you have purchase history.

I’m there at least once a week and have never seen any SS sports watches. They are at least very cordial in the Rolex store by The Grill.

But don’t let lack of Rolex stop you from going to the mall. It’s one of the most beautiful malls in the country. 4 great restaurants to choose from. Plus all the best stores in the world.

0.00 is your chance of getting a watch but you will enjoy your visit to the mall none the less.

If you want something preowned Gray & Son is about a block and a half south on the other side of the street.

Thanks for the info about the keys. Heading down in a little over a month. Hope I get lucky.

+1 They’re in Lighthouse Point right off Sample Rd. Matthew and Kayla are great.
