Please post a pic of a watch you regret flipping

Flipped the AP 15400 silver for the AP 15500 blue. Realised that I’m not that into the 15500 blue dial and new dial layout, and it would be bloody expensive and painful to reverse the trade

One of my favorite combos / love the diamond markers. $19k Singapore = $14k USD - doesn’t seem like a bad price.

Regret this one

So I bought the one with the Everest strap, sold it, regretted selling it and bought another one in short order.

Wanted this watch so badly in 2017 and 2018. Then saw and felt rose gold in person, and my preference changed. I would still pick up this exact 116718 if I came across it at a somewhat decent price. Was one of my first favorite gold pieces.

Sound right for 2014. They floated between 21k~23k then.

Man I love that explorer II with the black Everest. I’d own one of those!

I’m not sure regret is right for me, because I flipped my 116610LV for my smurf, which isn’t going anywhere. But I would like the green sub back.

I’m not sure “flipping,” would describe the circumstances surrounding the respective departures of these guys ...but if you’re asking which ones went in favor of something else that I wish in retrospect had not, there would be too many to list.

But here are a few I miss:

In 2014 you were lucky to get that for one of those from a used watch dealer. They were very soft. It is amazing all boats have risen so well in the Rolex marina.

I have never regretted a single sale. Thank goodness for all the buyers that jumped on the hype/FOMO train. I made a killing.

The term "flipping" to me means buying a watch to immediately or very soon thereafter, sell for a profit. I have never flipped a watch. But, I have sold or traded pieces I was not wearing or to fund the purchase of a watch I wanted more. For the most part, I miss every watch traded or sold.

Only sold one, 116610LV. Sold it for $3k under market, simply to recoup what I paid. Did it because I bought one new from AD, and was helping out my friend. No regret...

Still accumulating and not selling.
