Rare dial?

Hello fellow TRFers

Does anyone know if this is considered a rare dial on a 116508? I haven't seen that many of them around and think it's quite nice #FeelingItchy

Great dial - not sure I’d call it ‘rare’

Not rare but also not a popular choice.

No. But it's still one of the best of that age.

Can anyone tell me what year they discontinued that dial? It's one of my favourites and being a model (116508) that I'm considering, I'd like to get some more info.

All things about Rolex are rare if you believe the internet, but its not as popular as many other Daytona dials but still lots of them around.

I used to have this watch. It’s a Paul Newman with a champagne dial.

It is not rare by any means.

It’s is a 116528.

I used to have a 116528 with that dial. The dial has a slight textured finish. I sold it to get my 116508 with the black dial w/ champagne counters.

This has been on my list for a long time. Can't see buying a ss model when this is only a few thousand more. Anyone agree?
