Dj41 Azzurro

Hi folks, what are your thoughts on the DJ41 Azzurro?

I currently have this watch reserved and the promise of a black dial sub within 3 months which has swung it for me to buy.

Is the Azzurro dial highly sort after?

The problem I have is..I already have a DJ41 blue dial. I will need to keep the Azzurro dial and sell the blue dial or - sell the Azzurro dial straight away (driver being I will have the sub in 3 months if I purchase this and then sell)..looks like so far I will get my money back on the Azzurro as it seems hard to come by but both the blue dial and Azzurro are stunning..I just can’t decide what one to keep...im tempted to keep both but they are so similar..both DJ41 are fluted on an oyster bracelet.

First world problems.

Winner winner flipper dinner. Jokes aside, the azzuro is a stunner. Maybe some pics of what you have?

Yes, please post some pics.

From the stock photos, the Azuro dial looks beautiful but I think the blue might be a shade too light. Personally, I like the darker hues of the blue dial.

But, they both are stunning watches!

Edited with Azzurro dial and the blue dial.

My issue with the blue dial is sometimes under the light the dial looks more black than blue

My issue with the Azzurro is I prefer the batons rather than RN

Also, in regards to the AD promising a black dial sub within 3 months if I take the azzurro, would you get anything in writing about this? It’s a very big chain and the manger gave the thumbs up on the three months so I’ve no reason to disbelieve them.

Dj41 Azzurro

Here is mine, the wife’s and my step dads. I like both equally but my wife’s roulette dial is really top notch, and the hidden clasp. As you can see all are affected differently by light

To me that's the reason why I like the blue dial. If it was lighter I wouldn't go for it, but it looking blue only under good lighting and looking black without direct light hitting it is a plus to me.

If I were you I would either A) not take the deal at all for a Sub and stand on principle or B) sell the Azurro as since it'll be brand new unworn, you'll likely be able to sell it for more than used blue and since you already have the blue I assume you like it on its own.

I'd take it and then decide. You cant go wrong but it is a tough choice until you try it on your wrist. They're both beauties. Happy choosing..
That Azzurro has a lot of character.

I wish that dial was on something other than a datejust. It’s beautiful.

I prefer the blue dial with index lume markers and hands, but that’s just me.

When I owned the Azzurro dial I had RSC switch out the hands and dial to the darker blue with lume hands.

To each their own

That version came with the roulette date wheel. Red odd and black even. It’s a 116 model variation

Stick with your DJ41 that you own already. I personally don't like roman numerals on Rolex's and much prefer the sticks.

I’ve had my Azzurro dial for a month now and absolutely love it. The only thing I never took into consideration was the lack of lume on the dial and hands, it does make it harder to see in low light. I wouldn’t change it for the world though!

You are only buying it to be on the list for a Sub? I don't think that makes sense, unless you love the piece and will treasure it. There are no guarantees the AD will grace you with the Sub, so I would not submit to this extortion.

No doubt the Azzurro is gorgeous, but I prefer having lume. Good luck

So AD is making you buy a DJ41 to get on Sub list? I think that answer your question on how sought after it is. Would not buy that just to get on Sub list, especially since you have a blue dial DJ.

It’s the name of the game these days, sold on the DJ41 at no loss and now sit here with a sub on my wrist

Is this Azzuro dial on the female version the same as on the 41?

We definitely didn’t like the way this blue looked...
