To me, whenever I wear my CB it’s almost like I can’t have a bad day. I find I look at it less to know the time and more to just admire its different shades of blue under various lighting conditions. It’s an inanimate object that brings me joy. So call me crazy.

My CB elicits similar emotions when I wear it ... as does my octa lune. Journe, just like art, speaks to some of us but not others , nothing crazy about that.

Oh, you were commenting only on the tantalum case? Sorry. Yes, the final steps are hand done with a file, I recall reading that just as the other poster did, but you can confirm it with a boutique. They are happy to help clarify this sort of question. Glad there's no question on the hand finishing of the movements, as I see that getting wrongly spread around sometimes.

Yes, I was enquiring as to what the other member meant by hand-finishing, after it’d been CNC milled into shape.
Like yourself, I believe it’s important to ensure factually correct information is imparted rather than misleading or ambiguous, even if it’s considered pernickety.

This is it, right here.

It has nothing to do with some Hodinkee article -- what Hodinkee article?!

The CB was priced very accessible. It's a weird piece in that there are very, very few Tantalum cased watches out there, and it's one of the very few that is actually quite blue (other Tantalum cases are a much lighter shade of blue, whereas this one is quite blue).

Then it turned out to be really hard to make the dial.

And it's one of the few in 39mm.

And finally due to the difficulty in producing, FP himself decided to reduce production even further.

All this increases hype. Couple that with decreased supply, and you now have the situation we're in.

It will only crash if people stop liking blue dials, or unusual case materials, or Journe in general, or if FP decides to ramp up production 5x.
