Rolex 3000 movement - service cost and respect in Rolex vintage lover community

Hi everyone

I would like everyones learned opinion of the 3000 movement

I own a watch with this movement - An explorer. It's my first and only Rolex

I know all the history about the Breguet overcoil (lack of) etc

My questions are

1/ Does the 3000 movement have respect within the Vintage Rolex community?

2/ Is the 3000 easy to service vs the newer 3130. Which would cost more to fix, repair and service etc?

3/ Will parts ever be a problem for the 3000? How many watches with a 3000 would still be out there?

4/ How has this movement stood the test of time?

5/ 20 years on does anyone see a problem owning a Rolex with the 3000 movement?

Thanks!

The 3000 movement was introduced ~1989 to 2001, and is the non-date version of the 3035 movement.

It was used in the Oyster Perpetual, Air King, Sub, and Explorer.

There are millions of them out there.
