Anyone Looking for a 116618 LB from AD?

MY local AD has had a new YG SubC with blue dial sitting in the case for a few weeks! If anyone wants one right now, it was still in the case this afternoon. That location is DeVons in the Roseville (CA) Galleria mall.

I’m from the area and inquired about one when I was visiting a little over a year ago. They didn’t have one at the time and I ended up buying elsewhere. Funny thing is about a month ago I got a call from them asking if I was still interested. I bet it is the same watch!

These are pretty common at the AD's. Ive recently visited 3 shops in LA and 1 in NY and they all had it in stock.

Sorry to slightly hijack...but this is a watch I'm interested in..anyone care to venture a guess as to what kind of discount (if any) could be had from an AD?

I may go the David SW route and will eventually ask my AD for their thoughts..but was trying to get an idea before asking them.

I'm in the NYC area. I've also seen it a few times in various ADs.

Thanks,
Steve

edit: and yes this is my first post! long time reader : )

When I was looking over a year ago, the best price I could find new from an AD was about $28k+tax. I think prices may be higher now. I ended up buying a partially-stickered safe queen from DavidSW in the mid-$20k range and have been extremely happy.

OK ,this is a nice thread. Lets say an AD acquired the YG Sub 2-3 years ago. What is their cost? Is it possible to get 20% off of the price from 2-3 years ago from them and for them to still profit? It would be great to know for disocunting.

Also, i was at an AD in the UK, and i live in the US. In the UK, a new one is much less due to VAT and refund (of course you may have to pay when you bring it to US and declare). But i was offered this piece in london and without VAT, it is competitively priced.

Very helpful, thank you.

I saw one in the Tourneau near Bryant Park (not my AD just to be clear) after I tried it on, and acted semi-serious about purchasing..the SA informed me they won't discount any sport model watches...even PM. That seemed a bit aggressive. My AD is in NJ and is not a corporate chain... I was thinking in my head if they could get it for me for a price starting with a 2 handle, and no tax...I'd probably take it. They helped me get a Batman the end of last year so I don't mind paying bit extra..but pretty sizable difference between $35k+ and around $29k.

I'm also monitoring the DavidSW prices pretty regularly. They have a brand new one for $31k (interesting to note he marked up the price after the Jan 1 price increases).

Appreciate any other thoughts on the matter

Best,
Steve
