Does your tactic involve spending money or telling a story?

I love these posts more and more with each passing day.

OP get ready for disappointment, you aren't going to be able to get that piece let alone a Submariner. Buy grey or wait until these models sell again for less than msrp.

I was able to pick up a white face Daytona C after about a 5 month wait. I have a limited purchase history with the AD. First purchase was a GMT with this AD earlier in the year and I bought some small items for the wife (anniversary gift, etc.). I wouldn’t suggest just spending money in hopes of getting the watch but keep in touch and if your in the market for something start to build a relationship with them. Might have gotten lucky but don’t be a stranger to the store and you never know. Good luck!

I wont be disappointed either way, but I have a few tactics that may weigh in my favour. Stay tuned for incoming.

I haven't bought any watches from any of these AD's before, as I usually buy my watches when abroad in Europe.

Any waiting list experiences people would like to share?
Now you need to get spending with the ADs

Forget about the second AD. You have zero chances there. She was just being polite despite Rolex instructing sales associates not to huff or make strange faces.
I agree and would concentrate my efforts on first AD rather than spread thin over second and third AD. If you really want the Daytona, consider going Grey. No wait and if one ever shows up at AD, sell the grey version.

I was on 2 AD lists for a SS white Daytona shortly after they were released. After 18 months I had moved from 30th to 25th on the list with one and could not get any info from the second (I suspect their list was fictitious). I gave up waiting, life is too short.
When the PM Oysterflex Daytonas came out I went for a white gold one, got it within two months.

I’ve been waiting since November 2016. Still nothing. Sad. Beyond sad.
