Regret buying a DJ36?

Stopped by a Rolex AD in Valparaiso Indiana to attempt to compare blue dial datejusts.

(Believe it or not they had TWO just in wrong configurations)

Truth be told the 36mm dj looked and felt ok and is also several dollars cheaper.

Has anyone purchased a 36mm DJ and regretted recently?

Below is picture of it next to my Submariner

Nope. Have a 36mm DJ and a 36mm DD. Perfect size for my 7.25" wrist, and the classic configuration for both models.

Looks good. That is the exact combination that I would get in a DJ.

36mm looks better on your wrist than a 40 (which still looks fine), 36 DJ in blue is a great watch.

That watch looks absolutely perfect on you and is a beautiful piece. In my opinion you picked a good one.

I agree with the fine gentleman above, that DJ looks perfect on your wrist. I am a sucker for the 36mm DJ. It has the perfect look and dimensions of a classic piece.

I recently got rid of my 36mm DJ and I miss it. The size is perfect and the sub and DJ combo is my grail!

Regret buying a DJ36?

Looks great. DJ fits you better. Too bad they don’t have the fluted bezel on the jubilee. That’s the only combination I’d get.

36 looks great on you. I prefer the 36 over the 41 myself. I think this watch looks best in its classic proportions.

Looks perfect on your wrist.

I had a gorgeous DJ36 in rotation with a subC and a couple of others. However I have now downsized to just a DJ41 for everything. For me it works a little better for all around versatility. However I will most certainly own another DJ36 one day. (Probably two tone)

I think the 36DJ looks great on your wrist. Of course there is less wrist presence than the Sub but thats Ok, totally different watches. I think you have a great pair there.

The Sub actually looks big on your wrist. The 36mm seems to fit you better. Photography always makes the watches look bigger than they are.

In my personal opinion, the two watches (Sub and DJ) are miles apart. The DJ is like a Timex in comparison. Enjoy the Sub. It's a beautiful, iconic watch.

Especially if you have a sub, that is a great watch. You now have a pair of very complimentary Rolexs.

Looks awesome and I personally prefer/love the jubilee and smooth bezel combo. And to me, the proportions of the DJ36 just looks better. And I like the cleaner dial of the 36 that does not have the arabic numbers at the 5 minute markers.

That's very bold, unfair, plus it's not true. The Datejust is the image of Rolex outside the Forums and it's an icon, plus it's the best selling Rolex. Also the Datejust has a more modern movement (3235) than the Submariner.

Ignorance is very daring.
