Uh oh. I think the Luminor Due 676 is discontinued

I was on the Panerai web site and navigated to the Luminor Due collection page. It seems the collection has been pared down to fewer models, and some of my favorites were eliminated. The 676 (42mm steel case, hand-wound caliber) and several other 42mm hand-wound models are gone.

what do you guys think?

I figured a 676 could be my kind of watch, and there aren't a lot of them out on the pre-owned market, so maybe my vaguely planned intent to add one some day just became a bit more challenging

Possible. There was a clear statement from the CEO that they were planning to reduce the range this year, this could be the start.

Wonder why it would be the 233?

Thought that one was always popular.

For some reason, the discontinuation of the 233 has been rumored for years.....

I thought that it sounded familiar. I am actually considering picking up another one right now.

the 676 is pretty cool - one of the few Dues that also had a sapphire case-back, and the cleaner look with no date.

also worth mentioning that the movement on the 676 is true in-house; later Due variants (e.g. 904) use a richemont group movement that was originally designed by baume & mercier

i have both the 676 and 233 (dot) - so i suppose i'll keep them for a bit.

Back in December, I was told by the local boutique that all manual wound Luminor Due are gone...
