Black GV Milgauss is not black.

Black v Black. To my eyes the Milgauss was always dark Matt green.

The dial is matte black but the crystal causes the greenish effect.

The reflection of the green glass makes it look like dark green matt!

Something new that I've learned since entering the Watch World...some people use "matt" instead of "matte" and either are acceptable spellings. Google it.

This is the case. The dial is matte black with a green crystal. Add them together and you get a matte black dark green dial.
Take off the crystal and it’s a plain black dial.

It's probably the same as the non-GV. And if I remember correctly it was more of a dark coffee/chocolate color.

Im a sub owner but that Milgauss looks spectacular. Milgauss is definitely one that's under rated.

Not sure about that - I am old and American but when I was back in school matte was spelled matte.

Now if you ask me about my daily walk of 10 miles, with 10 feet of snow, with no shoes on to school. Well that is a whole different story.

That’s my favorite milgauss. I like it more than the blue/green.

To me, the black dial actually looks brown or grey behind the green glass. Congrats!
