The little finger had a tendon that was constricting and limiting the use of the finger which caused problems playing bass and would regularly get caught on luggage handles.

This operation happened on the same day my wife was at another hospital to find out she had breast cancer. She kicked that cancers a$$ and is doing great. Although it ruined any sympathy I would get for my "major" operation.

This was back in 2017. I was in Afghanistan and was hitting some heavy chest with a friend of mine. We moved up in weight on dumbbell bench press and on my second rep, I felt a shock and then heard a rip. I dropped the weight, went outside, and knew something was off.

Turns out, I had an 80% maceration of my left pectoral where it connects to the humerus. Flew home five days later, and then was in surgery the next day. Seven month recuperation with no working out. I was bored out of my mind.

As a cop, I saw a lot of nastiness but I always had something to do so I couldn't think about it. I ended up with about three stitches inside my forearm once because a dog got around my bite sleeve during a police K-9 trial. So at almost 65 years of age, I've lead a pretty charmed life.

It certainly looks like it and I should make up a great story about fending off hoards of weapon wielding thugs but no, it’s nothing as heroic / brave as that - I simply fell over my own feet in a restaurant and sliced my head down the corner of a granite worktop.

I was very lucky as another inch forward would have resulted in real damage to my face / eye.

Luckily I was very drunk and didn’t feel a thing

Ha. I would argue most great men have uttered these words at least once.

Had stitches once when i was a kid, in my knee. Phones were rotary then, no photo.

Roughly 2005ish, Torn rotator cuff and separated tendons, got some staples.

I've got one more with staples, but it is probably a bit much for the forum...
