I love Shakira...but let's be honest, she was not really relevant anymore in the USA up until this show...no new music or media coverage, so this show did her alotta good...and she delivered for sure.

JLO is a beast. She could have done this whole show herself, no problem...always relevant and works as hard as anyone...

JLo is a beast, 50 is becoming the new 30 but Shakira totally outclasses her.

JLo made a big mistake attempting to share the stage with Shakira. JLo looks old, less exciting, and less energy compared with Shakira. JLo would have been fine on her own but you couldn't help but compare one to the other and Shakira just wiped the floor with Lopez.

True but Shakira isn't exactly a youngster either. She well into middle age as well at 43. She looks and moves like she's 28. I'm still picking up my jaw.

It's interesting that the half time show was in theory to be supportive of Latino culture and music and the two women were there to showcase that together.

But instead people decided to compare their performances and pick a winner and tear down the other.

I wonder why we do that?

When one goes, then the other, then together it's is near impossible to avoid comparing them. Just human nature.

Looks fantastic What temp do you keep the smoker at?
I was thinking it would have turned to jerky by hour 20 or so.

Not to belabor this silliness, but this was a case where Shakira was obviously relegated to being the opening act for JLo (The Diva). But Shakira’s *ahem* performance was clearly better and more impressive (and sexier) without having to resort to bringing out the stripper pole and flashing her Brazilian.

Thanks Brother. I go lower and slower than most recipes call for. Like 150 on smoke until it hits 150 internal temp, then I usually move it to the oven so I can regulate the heat better. Once it its 180 ish internal I pull wrap in foil and blanket for about three hours. Usually hits 200-205 while wrapped. This one had a great smoke ring and flavor. Little dry on that end I cut but I cut a lot more of the fat lip off this one than normal. Always trying different things. My last one was better than this one. Sometimes it is just the cut of meat too. This was prime beef! Love talking BBQ!

...you’d thought J Lo would move better than she did considering all the HGH her and SbRod do.

I think we are drifting from the point here. Clearly the performance wasn't aimed at comparison or anything of that sort.
We just need to complement both of then for a great performance despite age.
